"I hired JBS to replace my 50 year old patio (26ft x 27ft) whcih was heaved and broken. This job was right next to an in ground pool which for most contractors contacted was a no bid. They were professional and exacting. Their crew was a mix of old and young who all knew their work and acted like it. The concrete pour was well done. The finishing work reflected their skill and attention. I am happily looking at the completed job."

"We started our stamped concrete project by obtaining two quotes. The two contractors we talked with outlined drastically different approaches on adding color to the concrete (Integral vs dry shake-on). One contractor swore that the integral method was superior (color is added to the concrete in the truck before pouring) while the other contractor maintained that the correct way to color concrete was to shake dry powder on the surface (allows for more color choices and hardens providing a stronger surface). At this point, we were confused as to how two reputable contractors provide such drastically different approaches on what seemed to be a straight forward project? We decided we need a third opinion and turned to Angie’s List. Focusing on companies with overwhelmingly positive reviews, we found Turner Concrete and decided they would be our third opinion. Dave Turner personally visited to quote and explained Turner’s approach. He outlined their experience and why he felt the dry shake on method was the preferred method of the two processes we had been introduced to. After meeting with David, we researched more online to get an objective take on the methods of adding color to concrete. Looking at websites of stamped concrete contractors nationwide, we found that contractors who specialize in stamped colored concrete always seemed to recommend the dry shake on method. The true specialists also had comments that closely mirrored what we heard from Dave Turner. Ultimately, we decided to use Turner Concrete. After informing Turner that we wanted them to do our project, Tracy (Dave’s wife) scheduled a date for the project and also came to our house to help us pick out a stamping pattern and to assist with choosing a color. Tracy was also very personable and was a great help showing us pictures of other projects that they had done. Leading up to the date of the project, we were very impressed Dave’s communications; he called several times so that we knew exactly what to expect and when his team would be onsite. The first day, the team of 4 (including Dave), showed up on time and went to work. They were very professional and worked in an efficient manner framing out the project. The second day, they returned and poured/stamped the concrete. Immediately, we were happy with the outcome, but we felt thought the color was lighter and not as vibrant as we expected. Dave told us that the project would look very different after it was sealed. About 10 days later (concrete had to cure), Tracy returned to add additional contrasting color (think of grout between tiles) and to seal the concrete. It was at this time that the color “popped” and went from looking light and chalky to being the exact end product we expected! We plan on having Turner back to complete a patio in back of our home in the future. Well done! Thanks to Dave, Tracy and the rest of the team!"

"Poor communication and damaged our drive. We hired White Rabbit to patch an area of the concrete on our garage floor and apply a coating. During our consultation the sales person told us that patching the area we needed fixed wouldn’t be a problem. The installers were an hour late on the day of the job and the patch, along with about a 2.5 foot strip of the asphalt on our drive, pulled up the night after they left. They also laid down the wrong color coating. It took several back and forth calls, texts, and emails to get someone scheduled to come out and fix the damage. We were told not to worry that they were confident they knew why it happened, that the new fix would hold, and it wouldn’t be noticeable. On the second visit the original installer came back and dug out the area of the floor and the asphalt that had pulled up. The second attempt at patching wasn’t uniform, extended out way farther then needed, and was very noticeable. It also started to pull up again the next day. After more back and forth they sent someone else out to take a look. The person they sent out the third time was more knowledgable and told us that a patch after the coating has been laid down will always show and they shouldn’t have told us otherwise. He made arrangements to come out the next day, buff the floor down, fix the patch again, apply the right color seal, and patch the asphalt. The floor held this time, but dips down lower where the patch is. We have to watch for water pooling in the area when we get heavy rain. It’s not ideal, but something we'll have to live with. The asphalt patch never hardened, started to flake off around the edges, and turned green. This concerned us and we tried getting someone out from White Rabbit again to look at it or give us advice on what to do, but they began dodging us and even told us that they weren’t asphalt people and that the asphalt damage was preexisting. We couldn’t believe this reaction considering that we had been very patient throughout the whole ordeal, it was obvious that the damage was a result of their work, and they applied the asphalt patch, so we assumed they would know about the product they were using . They told us they were trying to figure out what the problem was and would get back to us, which they never did. We tried contacting the office to speak with a manager and also never heard back. In the end we had to seek out an answer on our own and spend additional money to resolve. Very disappointing especially considering they were almost double in price compared to other quotes we had gotten."

"Cusatis was wonderful. They had a large variety of colors and patterns to choose from for our stamped concrete patio. They were very easy to work with and were able to get us on their schedule earlier than expected! When planning the shape and size of our patio they had excellent suggestions but stressed that it all was our decision."

"Our new house has patio doors but no patio so I contacted Kevin with Creation Construction based on reviews and his location. We had a bit of delay in getting the project started due to almost daily rain but when Kevin was able to schedule a date he was prompt and completed the job quickly. He came back two days later to make frost cuts and got that done quickly, too. <br /> We are so pleased we had him quote a driveway , front walk and side porch for the next project. <br />"

"The experience overall was great. I contacted via AngiesList the company regarding a deal to reseal my driveway. They responded quickly and told me that they'll come out that week to review my driveway, which they did promptly. They gave me the quote which was the stated deal which looked like a great price from just searching around. I followed up to agree on the deal. Now the one knock was that I didn't hear back from them for about a week but it was over the 4th of July week so I imagined they were swamped and had limited resources. But Jeremy got back to me and he accommodated my schedule. I actually had to push the schedule back a week because they could get me in so soon. The day of, they had 4 guys come out. They all were very polite, professional and courteous. And I must say they were a well oiled machine. While one guy was setting up the string to do not enter my driveway, the other three guys went to work. Each guy had it down to exactly what was needed to be done and didn't waste a second. I was astonished at how organized they were and efficient. I think they finished within 15 minutes and the driveway looked great. I think if I tried this myself I would have taken 15 minutes alone to just set up. They definitely know what they are doing. I was quite happy with the work they did. I would recommend and hire again."

"I struggle somewhat with how to write this review. There were parts of this process that were extremely frustrating. But in the end, I remind myself that it is about the quality of the work. And the work was excellent. Our new driveway is beautiful. The quality of the workmanship cannot be paralleled and we have literally had friends and neighbors standing at the edge of our drive commenting on what a great job it is. So that's the important thing. Matt does excellent work. <br /> We did hit a few snags along the way that I think are worth mentioning. Once the job started, the communication was great. But the communication during the bidding and scheduling process was not great. We had to email or call several times to figure out what the status of our job was. If we had not been so impressed with Matt during the bidding process, we might have gone with another company out of sheer frustration waiting for clear communication. <br /> Our final cost was about 20% higher than our initial bid. It turns out that our original driveway was poured directly on clay with no existing base. Matt ended up having to dig deeper and bring in fill. That was unexpected. There was no way to foresee this and we were understanding about the increased cost and extended work time here. During the excavation, the electrical line to our garage was severed and had to be repaired. While what we were charged for this repair was certainly less than if we had to hire out the work ourselves, I question whether that cost should have been our responsibility to begin with. <br /> As I said, in the end, it's about the quality of the work and my husband and I (and our neighbors) are all in agreement that this was an excellent job. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Given the timing between the pouring of the driveway in early fall and the approaching winter, I was in a bit of a time crunch to get the new driveway properly sealed as recommended by the builder. I spoke with Don, who provided an initial estimated higher than I what I anticipated, but when we talked through the quality of the sealer and the work to be performed, I came to realize it was an appropriate cost for the services. Don was courteous, helpful, prompt ....professional in every way and delivered the promised service with all expectations met. I would definitely use this provider again if I was in need of the offered services. <br />"
