"I first met Jeff Moore of Capital Siding, Windows and Roofing in 2018. It was time to reroof my 110+ year-old house (that has more hips and angles than a fashion show) and I wanted to do it right. I took 5 bids (6 if you count the company that was a no-show) and ended up with a range of bids that varied by nearly $20,000. Capital came in near the midpoint of the bids but it wasn't the price that sold me - it was the care they put into their bid and the feeling I got from Jeff and, later, his son Danny. They included more detail than any of the other companies I considered and I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Jeff over the course of a couple of weeks where he answered all of my questions and explained all of my options. Jeff struck me right from the start as an earnest, straight-up guy who was giving me his best offer. No posturing, no pressure, just a good offer and a good feeling. Undertaking a major project on my house, my biggest asset, was stressful. I was worried about everything. Is this a fair price? Is this the right company? Will the crew stay on schedule? In August of 2023, while I was out of town with my family, our house got walloped by the big hail storm that rolled through Minneapolis. By the time we got home a week later, work had already started on 4 houses on my block. My first call was to Capital and they came out a day later. My beautiful roof and old siding had taken major damage. Danny and one of the roofing crew walked every inch of my roof and took over 100 pictures. The damage was significant but the integrity of the roof was intact. Because of the severity of the storm, Jeff was booked until very late in the season so we decided to push it until the spring of 2024. That turned out to be a good decision as I spent a good portion of the winter arguing with my insurance company. Every time they sent an adjuster or someone to take pictures or get a materials sample, one of Jeff's team was present. I finally got things sorted out with insurance, spring arrived, and Oscar, Capital's other crew chief who is just as approachable and friendly and great as Azael, came out with his guys and got going. They did another beautiful job on the roof and the siding is just fantastic. They did tons of hand-bent aluminum work to mimic the architectural detail my insurance wouldn't cover. I think it looks better than it did originally. My wife and I are completely happy with the work and love with the way our house looks now.
