"I hired EDJ landscaping and had them completely landscape my backyard after having a pool installed. Ernie, the Owner was there every day with his guys, from start to finish. They regraded my property using a bobcat, and even went above and beyond communicating with my irrigation company, that I hired and whom edj had no affiliation with. I literally didn t have to do anything. Ernie made the process so easy. The EDJ team installed new sod, built new landscaping beds and added mulch. Additionally , they cleaned up the yard and added 3/4 crushed stone around my pool equipment and shed area , making sure to use necessary landscape material to keep it weed free and barriers to keep all the rock and mulch in place. He went above and beyond making sure everything was perfect. He allocated all his time to my project making sure everything was done flawlessly. At the end of each work day, he made sure everything was clean and free of any mess or dirt on the patios. I couldn t say enough good things about this company. The yard looks amazing and that s all due to EDJ landscaping. I am extremely happy with the finished product, and Ernie has made sure to keep in contact with me making sure I m happy , even stopping by multiple times to check on the sod To make sure it s taking correctly. "Bob came to give me an estimate not long after I made my initial phone call. I was immediately impressed with him when he showed up with his adorable and precious one year old daughter. When you watch a parent interact with their child you can tell a lot about their character. So aside from being a good father, Bob was knowledgeable and thorough in his evaluation. I booked my appointment that day but had to wait 3 weeks for the work to be done. I heard that since Sandy it was not uncommon to wait for tree work, so I didn't mind being patient. About 1 week before the work date I called Bob because my landscaper had concerns about tree companies and my husband became nervous.  When Bob called back quickly, he wasn't threatened by my concerns and even offered to speak to my husband about his training and experience.
On the day of the work the crew arrived a little before 8am. I was initially concerned because Bob wasn't there but a crew supervisor walked the property with me to make sure he understood everything that needed to be done. The crew supervisor was wonderful to work with and assured me that the job would be done to my satisfaction. Before the work was completed, the supervisor walked the property with me again to point out what was done and to make sure I was satisfied. There were a few small things I noticed that weren't even on my work list but he happily took care of them.
The only problem I had was that my pear trees continued to drop cut branches for 2 days and I had a fair amount of cleaning up to do. However, it might have been hard for the crew to notice every branch they cut and remove them all. The crew finished their work at 1pm.
I was very impressed with Hurricane Tree Experts and will certainly recommend and use them in the future.
