I told him not to bother but he said he'd given his word. He turned up on time checked the roof and said he'd send his repair team around. The repair team came the next day and gave me a price. I said to go for it and the next morning they started but found that there was significantly more damage than thought. He had to have a special piece made and them reflash the whole chimney base.
