"We had an old paver patio whose wooden borders had decayed and the pavers had sunk around the edges. The cracks between pavers were full of weeds. Kelly put new borders around the patio, masonry blocks with decorative pavers on top. They removed the weeds, powerwashed the dirt from between the pavers, and added polysand to prevent further problems. It looks great and was a lot cheaper than the bids to replace the whole thing. Kelly worked with my wife to select the color for the border, which she greatly appreciated. His crew was conscientious, thorough, and friendly. Our dog really liked them! "

"Mottern did a fantastic job designing and installing a large flagstone-on-concrete patio for us. The work included excavating and leveling the site, pouring and re-enforcing the slab, and selecting and purchasing the stone, brick and other materials. In addition to the patio, Mottern also filled in an approx. 12 sq/ft section of brick wall where a door had been converted to a window. The filled-in brick and mortar matches the original 50-year old wall perfectly. Overall, the entire Mottern crew was prompt, responsive, professional, and very skillful. We would definitely use Mottern again."

The patio would encompass the entire backyard to allow for low maintenance and high fun. My indecisiveness reared its ugly head when it was time to choose paver colors. John walked me through all the choices I was thinking about and encouraged me to trust myself. I already knew I had made the right choice in choosing this company, and I now felt confident I made the right choice in materials. The crew sent to complete the jobs were awe-inspiring: if there is a definition for efficient, it is them. They arrived first-thing in the morning for each job. The steps were done the previous week and are gorgeous! No crashing here! The next crew knocked our patio and fence/gate out in two days! We had taken some before photos, and I could not believe the difference. Our new backyard looked like it belonged in a magazine's best outdoor spaces. Pinterest would be proud! The work is flawless - coming from a perfectionist (another one of my qualities), that speaks volumes! The attention to detail in how each paver was carefully placed was immaculate, the pattern design strikingly beautiful. "Initially I thought I wanted just a concrete pad. When George (Melvin) came out to look at the work he explained a few options I had with regard to a patio. I decided to change the work to a gravel base and wait until I had a deck installed to get the concrete base for the pavers that’s I want for my patio.
