"My experience with Creative Exteriors was great. Gary took the time to show us the quality of his work by visiting other projects. His quote was very competitive. Throughout the project, Creative Exterior made sure everything was completed to our total satisfaction. The materials used and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. We love our flagstone patio and outdoor kitchen. I would absolutely use Creative Exterior for another outdoor project and highly recommend the services to everyone."

"Mark and his staff did a remarkable job. The limb was in a very difficult location to reach and cut but they accomplished the job and it all looks great. Mark is very courteous and professional. We highly recommend him and will certainly call him again whenever we have another job to be done."

"the conditions and followed up with us to begin and continue the work when weather permitted. His crew worked long and hard hours to finish our job yet took the time to and quot;do it right.and quot; They are one of the most professional groups with whom we have worked, and we are so proud of our new additions! There is one additional and quot;legand quot; of work to be done; however, once again the rain has drenched the area, yet the foreman of the job came by to talk to us about it. Now how often would that happen! <br />"

"Great. I had hired another company to build a less than 2 acre pond. Something was not right, it did not look deep enough. I called Joe to come survey the pond. Turns out, it was only 3-4 foot deep. I asked Joe to fix the situation. He came in and added about 2-3 feet to the dam and corrected the drain pipe depth to achieve the needed depth. Basically, he fixed what I paid the other guy to do. He made it right."

"Joey, was great to deal with. When I called him to get a quote to service my yard, he answered quickly and stuck to the schedule we agreed to for meeting. He answered my questions thoroughly and gave me more than my fair share of time walking around the yard. We also have some spring cleanup that is needed for the planters and he gave me some suggestion and a price. My wife liked his ideas so we plan on having him do that work in the near future.  He gave me the name and number of a company to handle the chemicals(which turned out to be great). He told me to let him know when I needed him to start coming out on a regular basis. I needed him to come out to clean up the yard before the other company did the chemicals and he worked with the other company to find the best time. He showed up promptly and did a good job mowing the grass. I have a lot of edging and he knocked that out in no time. He did what was asked, when we needed it, quickly and thoroughly. <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Hazlehurst, MS

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
