I’m interested to see how the marine-grade clear coat holds up after a year too. I think $400 is a lot to pay but that’s what all of them are charging now. And the door definitely looks way better. "Called GDS to have a very loud Genie chain drive opener replaced with a Guardian belt drive opener on Friday January 15th at about 3:00 pm. We were quoted a price and that is exactly what it cost . . . no hidden gotchas. GDS sent an installer out on Saturday morning by 9:00 am. Received a call 20 minutes before arrival Work began on time. Work was completed on time. All that I would expect from GDS. We've used them twice before with superior results. The installer was professional, friendly, very polite, answered all my questions, and cleaned up after he was finished. He explained all that I needed to know about the new opener. He even made modifications to allow the door to open up further than with the old opener without any up charges. We couldn't be happier with the work performed When we're ready to replace the other door opener, there's only one company that we will be considering . . .
