"Totally took out existing Bathroom. So we had a really nice "Fresh start ". Amy worked with me on the design and offered fantastic ideas and options for me. Choosing the Modern look and added the vintage feel was a perfect meld. Replaconmg the origuinal wooden doors in the basin table with frosted glass was another uniquie idea. Bright lighting that works well with the white walls and black and white Tiles in shower. Adding a small window to enhance my natural lighting was an incredible idea. Thanks Amy! The glass door to shower was a design that allowed light in and the tile work to shine"

"Erik was hired to install IKEA cabinets in our home for a full kitchen renovation. I felt confident in assembling the cabinets and finishing them (doors, hardware, drawers, toe kicks, etc) but we wanted a professional to make sure the cabinets were hung level, plumb, and square. From our first conversation it was obvious that Erik is an expert in all things IKEA. He provided some guidance and changes to our design to make some subtle improvements that would not have been obvious to us. He also immediately identified a critical flaw in our design that would have greatly impacted the final outcome but luckily we had enough time to get the proper replaced item. Communication with Erik was decent but be prepared for patience with emails and texts. Phone calls seemed to be most effective. Also be prepared to be patient for his schedule. Despite our efforts to plan ahead and get on “his radar” back in July, it still took several rounds of calls and discussions to finally get a week nailed down and the arrival day wasn’t determined until the week-of. You will need to be flexible. The installation was very fast - he had all of the work completed in one day. He is also very precise and detailed. He took time to show me how cabinets were anchored to the wall, that cabinets were level and prepped for the countertop template. He also cleaned up nicely, was courteous in our home and has a professional demeanor. The installation wasn’t without issue though. He accidentally stepped on a weak piece of our corner cabinet and broke it. His solution was to “sister” a piece below it. I was told it wouldn’t affect the countertops as this had no load bearing properties and it won’t be visible once countertops are installed. I believe that he is correct, and accidents happen, but it was disappointing as mishaps was something I wanted to avoid and large reason why we elected to hire someone rather than do the installation ourselves. No adjustment was made to the agreed upon price to account for the broken cabinet which I felt would have been the appropriate thing to do even it was a minor reduction. Overall, I would hire Erik again and be better prepared to be patient and clearly a communicate my expectations. He is precise, detailed, and very knowledgeable on IKEA systems. His involvement resulted in a nice overall outcome."

"This is an upgraded review after an initial 2-star grading. Responsive customer service to issues with the purchase itself made all the difference and allowed me to keep an open mind as I continued into the installation process. Overall, other than a few "they could do this better" items, the quality, the accuracy, the value, the helpful support team, and the easy installation of my 7 motorized solar shades all point to 5 stars. We followed the measuring instructions carefully and received shades that fit each space exactly as I expected. Installation itself was easier than traditional shades using the solid brackets they provided. Questions I had during installation were answered promptly through Chat. The remote control was a bit of a challenge, so be patient if you bought a multi-channel one and have lots of shades in your room. And for some reason they don't tell you this, but you must have a remote for your motorized shades. The app alone isn't enough. Our only minor gripe is that determining how solar shades look at night was just a game of inference. It would be very helpful to have an online tool available to create your own scene, which includes shade color, indoor or outdoor, and time of day. Even samples don't help much more. Still, I'll return to them when it's time to take care of other rooms. We did this project for 2 to 3 thousand dollars less than big box store quoted us. It was a cinch."

"<p>We were looking for a place to make some exterior window treated into some decorative solution, as it was exposed to the neighbour’s house. We saw Palace of Glass product at one of our local glass shop on display and got fascinated by this innovative product. We end up doing 3 exterior window in the bathroom and some interior doors with the matching design. Staff was friendly and knowledgeble, the cost turn to be less than the stained glass quotes from the local shops. I would recommend them.</p> <br>"

"It went very well. I contacted this artist to create a stunning and lifelike self portrait. I then sent photos and payment. In less than a week I had a stunning rendition of myself in both pencil and watercolor. Lance is always courteous and professional. "The Village Craftsmen / Bath Planet of Northeastern Ohio crew was professional and responsive to our last minute changes to the design. Considering these unplanned structural changes, the crew was easy to work with and the extra cost seemed more than reasonable. We chose to replace the existing built-in linen cabinet and vanity with new Bertch hickory cabinets and matching light bar, a Kohler two-door medicine cabinet to replace the wall-inset mirror, and Invictus vinyl flooring, all from Hartville Hardware. This one-stop shopping made it really easy to match the color of our pre-existing tile to what would be our new flooring and cabinets. All of that was $4,400 of the total cost of the bathroom remodel. These decisions and cost were done outside of Village Craftsmen involvement, however the installation of these items was included in the initial Village Craftsmen estimate. The wet area is a Bath Planet design with a bathtub with removable section for stepping through, and a shower with a spray hose. There are many enclosure patterns to choose from, which are picked out of a catalog when getting the initial estimate from the Bath Planet representative who came to our home. We also chose oil-rubbed bronze Moen fixtures and grab bars (Brantford style) that give the bathroom a very sophisticated look. The work for the demolition of cabinets, bulkheads and flooring, and replacing of the drywall, was done expertly and quickly. The Village Craftsmen assessed the condition of legacy pipes, and water-damaged floor, and replaced what needed to be replaced as par for the course -- not cutting corners, but doing it right the first time. The total cost was an initial down payment of $5,100 and another $6,400 at the end of the eight-day job. We are not do-it-yourselfers by any means, so we were happy to put the work into the experienced hands of the Village Craftsmen crew, who did an excellent job remodeling our bathroom. We couldn't be happier with the result and believe it was well worth the cost."
