"Mad City had to come out 5 times. They didn't get the right base size for a new shower. We had to without a shower for almost 3 months. When they finally completed the job, it was great. It simply took them too long to get it done right."

"let me start by saying that, I would not recommend them to remodel a dog house. I had to clean up after them each day that they where here an throwing away boxes sweeping up in the kitchen, after they where done, the garage as well. they did not finish the flooring under the stove until I looked, an said they where trying to save me money like another $60.00 was going to break me. He tried to supply me with a used scratched up sink they tried polishing it out for 3 hours, the scratches where so deep they would not come out. they scratched up the cover on the faucet plate I had to get a new one, to replace it while they where replacing the sink they scratched my new stove on the top when they where setting it in they scratched my dish washer corner installing the counter tops. they chipped my newly painted garage door bringing in the counter top. When I told the owner about how they had lost the plastic prong to the bottom of the dish washer an I found it in the trash he took of the jerry rigged screw off of it an put the plastic prong on an said he would have to order the other one, an that the dish washer door still would not close an it needed to be raised on the one side an moved out, so that it would close. obviously I will not recommend them to any one, I will how ever say that Celest who did the back splash did a great job. "Chris was prompt in contacting me, in supplying an estimate and with scheduling my project. He was very professional and obviously experienced at his craft. He arrived when he said he would and worked steadily. I am very pleased with the outcome. This job would have taken me a week and he completed it in less than a day! Excellent to work with."

WE RESTORE CABINET FINISHES AFFORDABLY: Stained, Painted, Whitewashed & Pickled. We DO NOT change colors on or Reface cabinets. We do restore cabinet & interior wood finishes to their original beauty. We use durable finishes that are guaranteed! Hi, I’m Jim the “Gleam Guard Man.” My Father was a home builder, he trained me in wood refinishing back in 1964. I’ve seen a lot of industry changing things but never anything quite like Gleam Guard. Eliminating the Dust & the Mess and cutting 75% of the time and Cost without compromising quality is simply astounding! The Gleam Guard Process is an “Innovative Chemical Technology” made possible by years of experience and use of our foundation of green chemicals! (Of course, they are a trade secret.) These factors enable us to truly and durably restore the beauty of your woodwork and guarantee it without the mess, smell and expense of stripping or sanding! Four Step Process 1. Cleaning: Our trained servicemen remove all grease, oil, food & smudges left behind from cooking & oiling the woodwork. This is accomplished with a pleasant smelling industrial grade citrus product and LOTS OF ELBOW GREASE. This step will microscopically etch your original finish assuring adhesion of our finish. 2. Repair: Damage from nicks and scratches, peeling or flaking from water and heat are touched up or filled in with appropriate stains, colors & wood fillers. 3. If your finish has peeled off or has been steamed away an extremely durable finish is applied in those areas to build it up and to assure a strong foundation. 4. Gleam Guard Protective Shield: We apply six to eight coats of our final finish formula to protect and restore a “like new” & lasting appearance. (Our finish is unlike anything you’ve seen or worked with. It doesn't yellow, it doesn't smell and it dries incredibly fast and it's super easy to keep clean.)

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Highlandville, MO

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
