"Russ (and family) was great to work with and did high quality work. He came by to give us a quote on expansion of window openings, moving door openings, etc. He informed us that we had structural brick (only a wooden header which was only allowed for several years before the technique was banned). He let us know he would not do the work until we spoke with a structural engineer because of this. As new owners of this old house, we were very happy to have someone who was knowledgeable of the way our house was built and was able to guide us to ensure our home remained structurally sound. Russ was able to clean and reuse our original brick window sills and tooth in every opening. You know when you drive around an older neighborhood and you can see the brickwork from the street? Not from Russ. You absolutely cannot tell where he toothed anything in. Our mortar color isn't available anymore. He is so experienced, he mixed it by eye and it matches perfectly. Russ was also instrumental in other things. He helped the window people measure correctly and gave us structural advice that the first engineer missed. Russ may not be the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for."
