"They tore down parts of a neighbor's fence that was ready to fall down and put in a new cedar fence joining with neighbor's fences and surrounding our house. Were initially very prompt, the work was scheduled quickly, and the quality was very good (looks great and is solid). A lot of small issues came up, but they were willing to fix them all (fence posts needed to be moved wider around the driveway, some work changed on a corner of the fence). It is solid and well built, but has a few quirks - The button to open the front gate is on the fence and not on the door, requiring almost two hands to open (1 + 1 foot works). The gates for the front entrance and the driveway are all metal reinforced so they should never sag, which they claim they are the only fence company in the area building them that way. It took a lot longer to get the guard rail quoted and installed on the basement entrance, at least a couple of weeks. When it was installed, it wasn't mounted where I had wanted it, but they moved that too without any issues, and now it too works and looks great. Most of my dealings were with Jim, an owner, and a couple of people over the phone. They all seemed to know a good deal about what was going on, and were polite and friendly, even when I was not so polite. Would definitely hire them again."

Due to this there was a little confusion on a couple things, but after contacting Jeff his crew came out and fixed my concerns within a couple days of our phone conversation. I am pleased with the final product and as long as Aspen sticks to their word on the guarantee of their work I will continue to be a happy customer. I would recommend Aspen to anyone, but I would just say to make sure both parties are clear on what needs to be accomplished to avoid any issues.

"I had an issue were during extremely heavy rain, water was actually running down the side of my house, cascading over my kitchen window.  It had been determined that this was likely due to a small tree that was growing in my gutter (due to some confusion, it had been over a year since a cleaning).  Discussed having them install gutter guards, but oddly enough, my north side gutter actually had them in place and unfortunately, although the south side didn't have them, the type we wanted to use were not compatible with the manner in which my gutters/roof were configured.
He was very patient and helpful throughout the process, didn't not ask for an upcharge for cleaning the gutters with guards (as many companies do), or for the fact that we had agreed on the installation of the guards and it didn't work out.  He simply ensured that my gutters & downspouts were now clear (no more trees! or waterfalls!), keep me informed at each new discovery and simply honored the Big Deal price.  Would certainly use again.
