"Trying to execute a major outdoor renovation project during a time of global supply chain disruptions poses many challenges. Happy to report that Mal and PHI navigated that rocky path very well. Mal kept us informed of the many changes coming from the supplier as far as colors and delivery. It was a long process...8 months between signing the contract and having the work completed. In the end we are very happy with the product and the quality of the work. A major windstorm hit the area the day after the work was completed and put the installation to the test. Everything held up perfectly...no loose bits flapping on the house or flying around the yard. In researching this project ahead of time, we had spoken with many friends who've had their siding replaced and none of them were especially happy with their contractor. "I hired Ultimate Remodelers because they had previously installed the front window of our townhouse. UR were quick to respond and their quote was very reasonable. They were also very patient when working with our HOA who were one day late in approving their proposal. UR courteously honored the original estimate. After instillation, the city inspector failed our inspection as "no one was home" despite me taking the day off to be there (and having heard no attempt to knock). Heather of UR contacted the city to allow me to submit photos of the installations that were then approved. The only problem we had was that the depth of one of our basement block windows wasn't fully accounted for, so it doesn't fully open which was disappointing. Mike, our salesman came to our house to talk over potential solutions and we ultimately decided to take a small but fair rebate.
