I told him I wouldn't pay $200.00 he requested to replace two poor quality posts that were causing the bowing. I researched the quality stamp on the wood, and I found out the wood, made in China, had high moisture content, excessive knots, and some splinters- and the rating said, " do not use in high humidity areas." Note: He previously did a section of fencing for me, and it had a higher quality wood rating."

He did need to come to my house more than once to get a handle on a hard-to-locate leak, but this is what he did on one of those visits: I had had very low water pressure for 18 months, following the freeze last year in February, and I had just never gotten around to taking care of it. Another company (large chain) had installed a new water heater 2-3 months before the leak discovery; at that time I mentioned the low water pressure problem at least 20 times but no one paid any real attention. The way I see it, his competence, his real interest in solving problems the simplest way, and his honesty saved me about $8,500."
