I am a retired senior citizen who was out of town when a major windstorm uprooted a tree that landed on my house, putting a hole in the roof, along with tearing down all of the siding, and destroying the Soffitt, Fascia, gutters and downspouts. They wanted it to be top-quality in every way. Our house was a triple-decker in downtown Northampton – a rental unit that we were turning into condos. The original dark cedar shakes has exceeded their expected life span, but we loved how they looked. The vinyl is now white, and the place looks like a million bucks and is all bright and shiny.
