"Tarheel encapsulated our crawlspace. They cleaned out the bulk of the debris and sprayed fungicide. They also managed to knock over a post jack. The second day they put a sump pump and replaced the old insulation They installed reinforced plastic sheeting, including over the base of the fallen post jack. The insulation began falling within a few hours of the crew leaving. They did send a second crew to fix this. Our older furnace depends on the under-house vents to breathe. These were all sealed up. The furnace pulled combustion air out of the house until I cut the vents open. In digging the sump well (at one of the highest points of the crawlspace) they cracked the sewer line, which let gravel fall in. Whenever the drains back up enough, the sump pump sends raw sewage out to the front yard. I am currently waiting for an estimate from the plumber to replace the broken sewer pipe and move the sump pump. I have called to discuss this and hope to eventually get a return call."

"Foundation Repair. We have had opportunity to use PowerLift twice in the past. Once in 2005 and once in 2009. The situation was that the clay soil in the Charlotte area expands and contracts with temperature and moisture. What had happened in 2005 was that cracks had appeared in the north side of the brick on our home. I contacted Jim McCown who came out and did a thorough inspection of the foundation. He found that piers were needed around the north west corner of our house. We had the repairs completed and were pleased with the result. They even repaired the cracks themselves so the brick was sound. Fast forward to 2009. We found that we were having problems with some of the interior and exterior doors operating correctly. I again called PowerLift, ready to accuse them of warranty issues with their work. As it turned out, the repairs done previously were fine, but the west side of our house, under the deck, needed remediation. PowerLift came out, dismantled the portion of the deck that was in the way, and stabilized the foundation in that area. Again, the cracks were repaired and the house stabilized. Fast forward to 2023. We're preparing to sell our home, so had Jim come out and verify that the piers were still doing their job. He verified that we were still in good shape. Are there other companies who do foundation repair? I suppose so, but we were so pleased with working with PowerLift in general and Jim McCown in particular that we could see no benefit in going anywhere else. I strongly recommend PowerLift if you need foundation repair work."

"I contacted 3 different companies, and this is the only one that I recommend. Our salesman Kent Tysinger was wonderful. He was the only one that showed us pictures of our house underneath it. He even called me one night after his working houses to answer my question. He recommended what would work and he was correct. It took less than a week for the job to be started. Jonathan Stone & his crew came to the job site for one week. Each day Jonathan or one of his crew members would tell me what they were doing that day. When the day ended one of his crew members would come tell me that they were leaving and that they would be back the next day and they always arrived at the time that was stated. I had some concerns, and the GM manager came to my house and assisted with the issues. Also, when the job was completed, Jonathan went over all the pictures that he took of the complete job. All I can say is that this company better keep the employees that has assisted me with my job. We are so satisfied with the complete work."

"I cancelled a job I put a deposit of $10,826.95 down for because the sale of my home fell through. I cancelled on June 13th and I still haven't received my refund as of 8/19. We have reached out on 3 separate occasions. My wife and I have been told different stories by different people as to what happened, but not much of it is adding up. After holding our deposit for over two months the manager said-- "We cannot do anything more to compensate you." Apparently, it is being overnighted this evening. Sadly, my advice is to proceed with caution. I give 2-stars because they apparently still have the money to refund me, it could have been worse I suppose."

"Shamrock waterproofing was recommended when we moved from another state into an older home 2 years ago. The job was completed before we moved in; and, we were impressed with the number of workers from other service companies (our handyman, Termite specialist, HVAC installing our duct system), who commented on the quality of the job that Shamrock did, one of them saying “who did your crawl space, it’s immaculate”. Now, 2 years later, we needed a drain system to re-direct storm water in our sloping back yard, and were delighted that Shamrock could do the job. Michelle, in their office, was so cooperative—she was on top of scheduling, and arranged the date around our vacation plans. As the appointment neared, I took videos of the rainwater and emailed them just so they could see the issue in action. Andrew (a supervisor) felt it was a good idea to come by before the job to check the area out to make sure the plan was on target. On the day of the job, the crew showed up on time, and started to work. They ran into obstacles that they didn’t count on—digging through unexpected tree roots and a lot of clay, as well as 100˚ heat; but, they seemed to take it in stride—working non-stop. When the job was complete, they walked me through the process, pointing out each part of the job, explaining the reasons for lowering dirt in one area, raising it in other areas. It all made sense. And, they paid attention when I requested that they try to dig for the pipe in one area to avoid removing as much grass as possible. They managed to replace the grass in that area so that it looked undisturbed. The workers (Ryan, Oscar and Alberto) were a dedicated team who were respectful, professional, and did the job with seeming care of our yard. We highly recommend Shamrock Waterproofing, and appreciate a job well done!"
