"We wanted to replace flooring throughout our house, 3,000 square feet altogether. The job required removing a combination of wood, carpets and tiles and installing new flooring. After engaging a number of suppliers and installers, from big chains to independent contractors, we picked Ko-Am. Our decision was based on the great customer service during the sales process as well as the reviews on HomeAdvisor. They were very accommodating, changing the terms of their contract based on our requests and promising a "no surprises" installation. Because we were replacing different types of flooring over different surfaces, including stairs, we were concerned about running into issues but a no surprise installation is exactly what we got. They promised us to complete the job in five days and that is exactly what they did. When they ran out of material, they quickly found a local supply in order to finish the job. They addressed all our issues and requests throughout the installation and added a few touches that we had not thought of or requested. Best of all, their quote was the lowest we had received and they did not charge us a penny more."

The work was finally begun after three delays, totaling nine days, after initially-promised start date. With two of those delays, Larry did not initiate contact; I called him to check when he would arrive. He said delays were caused by family issues and no-show workers. His floor work is great, but time management and communication need to be better."

"Of the several quotes we received in response, Eduard's Wood Floors, LLC was the only one that provided a detailed and accurate estimate with materials, labor and removal and disposal fees. Juan (the owner) followed up with an on-site visit to verify dimensions, expectations and to offer advice and recommendations. We had originally thought we would remove and replace our existing wood floors, but after consulting with Juan, we decided to refinish our existing wood flooring at less than half the price and with a custom color and finish. The floors look absolutely amazing, and Eduard's Floors provided service and value beyond compare. Our porcelain tile and wood floor refinishing project was completed within the contracted price (with only minor additional costs based on some unexpected leveling) on-time and at a quality and customer service that are nothing short of remarkable in the Washington metropolitan area. Juan estimated the amount of material needed, ordered the tile stock and picked it up and delivered the material to the job site and there were only three (3) tiles remaining after the installation. "Wonderful! Cornelio was great to work with. He and his team were very professional and I feel like I was given their time and attention. Cornelio was always very responsive and helpful in decisions that we had to make. We moved out for the renovation and were out of town for part of it and he often sent me pictures in the evenings so I could see the progress. We have lived in our home for 7.5 years so we had a good feeling for what we needed. We hired an architect and a designer separately and that was helpful as we went in prepared with what we wanted done. Cornelio and his team took out a wall and a half bathroom and removed most of the plaster (we live in a 1930's row house in Washington, DC). He also built us a new half bathroom and rebuilt walls and doors that needed to be done. When he took out the plaster and such he found old pipes and wires that needed replacing and took care of it. He didn't ask for more money it was included in the work. One thing that really impressed me is we decided to keep our old cabinets and have them painted (by a separate company). When his guys took them off the wall they were damaged (not because of the guys negligence, they had been cement glued to the walls instead of screwed into the walls as they should have been. Cornelio made sure they were repaired and installed in a much better and safer way and you can't tell at all! We love our new kitchen and half bathroom so much! It makes our house much more comfortable and usable for our family!"

"We were extremely satisfied with the result.  Our floors look completely new.  They did a lot of repairs, replaced broken pieces, filled gaps, sanded old wood thoroughly, added new flooring in the closet, applied 2 coats of stain, 2 coats of Polyurethane.  They worked with my schedule. Father and son work together.  They are reliable and work extremely hard.  I highly recommend them.
