"From the point of first contact throughout the entire experience, this company represents quality of service, professional behavior on site and in communication, above quality in prep and finished product. Everything is covered and care is taken to protect property not being painted. Arrive on agreed upon date and finished ahead of schedule. Every detail in the project was addressed with care. Ready to hire again for interior rooms. I asked three companies to quote our job. Montaño painting made an appointment and communicated arrival time and was on time. One company gave us a quick once over with a one line quote, but was late and rescheduled once. The third company rescheduled twice but never showed up to see the job. Montaño Painting is a highly professional organization and I would recommend their service to anyone needing large or small paint project."

"I couldn’t be happier with the job Adam and his team at G.Z.L Painting did on our fence! They stained it beautifully, and the chocolate color looks amazing. The whole process was smooth and quick, and the team was incredibly professional. If you’re looking for top-notch work with a hassle-free experience, I highly recommend G.Z.L Painting. Thanks again, Adam!"

"I hired a painter out of the newspaper and he gave me a flyer to do all the things he was going to do. He didn't do any of them. I had to have my house painted for appraisal. After that experience, I called Angie's List for a list of painters. Beyond a doubt Four Seasons was the best. He brought it to my attention that there was lead based paint. He suggested that I call a company to detect if there is lead within the paint. Four Season is so knowlegeable and so precise."

"This was our second experience with Custom Application Painting. We had worked with them originally in July to repaint the interior of our home. I was so happy with the work they had done for us before, I couldn't wait to work with them again. Like before Custom Applications Painting took the time to understand what we wanted and made helpful suggestions. Because they did work on the inside of the home they were able to compliment the outside with new colors that tied the look of the home together. We have had several compliments from our neighbors on how nice the house looks. We will be working with Custom Applications Painting again!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Hood, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
