"The project went smoothly and efficiently. Greg was great with returning phone calls and being adaptable to the work schedule of me and my spouse. It was a daunting project requiring excavation of an old concrete patio, repairing some foundation on the house, laying a newer bigger paved patio with concrete slab on the side, and also a paved stairway with stone steps going up a hill. Everything turned out even better than expected. He is also true to his word about repairs and the warranty of the patio. A few months after the project ended, we had to have a small portion of the patio pulled up for some electric line work. He had his crew come out to level, lay, and tamp the patio stones back into place free of charge. Would highly recommend."

"Project completed on time and according to agreement. Project involved replacement of old brick walkway, steps, and patios with concrete structures Excellent work performed by coordinated and efficient team effort. Outstanding crew performed task with careful attention to detail. We live in a very congested area. We and our neighbors were frequently consulted as needed and appropriate to effect minimal disruption by the construction activities. Cleanup by the crew, after construction was completed, was very thorough and extremely well done. We originally interviewed some 6-7 potential companies. Empire Stone offered to do the job for a very reasonable cost; others quoted substantially higher costs and/or tried to sell us more elaborate solutions. Empire listened to what WE wanted and responded accordingly. We highly recommend Empire Stone. We will definitely use them again in the future if we have any concrete or stone work to be performed. We are highly satisfied customers."

"The project went well.  Corey and Al were responsive to a few issues that came up during the work time and addressed them.  The only issue that wasn't addressed is that there could have been more river rock delivered, because the end of the pond liner was showing in the front of the garage.  Our project was done so late in the year that we really didn't have time to address this before it snowed. We had to buy more river rock in the spring to make it look better.  When I asked Goodfellows if we could get more river rock through them, they said I could buy it myself at Bachman's.  I didn't dock Goodfellows for this, but I would have been happier if they had gone out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with how the job looked this spring."

"Customer service and communication was great. Friendly crew, and quick design and work done efficiently. Only complaint is that I had wanted a couple things transplanted and they transplanted very small portions of them without discussing with me. The rest of the plant was removed from the site without asking if I wanted to keep any of it or if a significant amount was transplanted."

"Golden Stones fit me into their schedule to repair an outside brick wall of my 100 year old house that i desperately needed finished at the very end of the season. Their price was reasonable and they did great work with good communication."

"In The Rough Stonework & Landscaping built us a beautiful greenhouse foundation that has knee-high stone walls and a cement floor. The floor has slight slope with weep holes on the low end, perfect for keeping the floor dry. They also put in a patio that wraps around the greenhouse and made it with a mix of different bricks/stones. Our greenhouse/patio is now a perfect place for gardening and lounging. On another project they made us a flag-stone patio with a stone stairway through the garden allowing easy access to our yard. In The Rough Landscaping does quality work with an eye for detail and they do it at a great price, I would highly recommend Lester Avalos and his crew."

"My house is over a hundred years old and needed some repairs and touch up from previous repairs that were not done well. Duane and Ben did a great job! They were easy to work with and made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. The work they did included, the repair of concrete steps, remove excess repair materials (previously done) from the face of the bricks, repairing and re- enforcing brick planters that are attached to the house, sealing gaps between concrete walkway and the house. There were a few bricks that were badly broken and they were able to make a “face” that looked much better. I would work with them again."

"They came out the very next day to do the brick repair of the chimney in my basement, and the work was excellent. Had to come back a few days later with a different crew to climb my steep roof for the chimney B-vent, but that too went great. Very pleased."

"Journeyman Greyson was clean, courteous, and professional from the moment he showed up until he completed the job. During the course of the work, I found Greyson to be responsive and easy to communicate with. The work proceeded in an efficient and timely manner. When finished, the refurbished masonry wall looked great, all the joints were sealed, and the work is of high quality. My 6 year old son had many questions which were handled by Greyson with smiles and patience. The final price was the agreed upon estimate, there were absolutely no issues. I would highly recommend McHenry Masonry."

"It went very well. Tony was very helpful with other ideas to replace the mulch. The landscaping job turned out excellent! We are very happy with the results and would recommend this company."
