"They did a great job. The job was completed faster than expected. They had the locates done. They covered the fence with plastic to prevent concrete splatter on it. The sheilded the air condition compressors with plywood during the concrete pour. Overall I am really happy with them and will be hiring them to do the concrete work for my deck. Thank you Cora Construction!"

Small jobs welcome

"Shane did an excellent job on our concrete. He showed up when he said he would and finished when he said he would. He kept the job site clean and he was very professional. We also had Shane do some remodeling in our house and the work was done with quality and detail. We will hire Shane again."

"Sione is great to do business with. Honest, very hard-working and dependable. We had an aprox. 60'x14' parking area filled with weeds that was an eyesore and barely usable. Sione and his crew paved it with concrete and it is now functional and beautiful. The work was first rate and done in a very short time and at a comparative price. It was a pleasure to work with such professionals that took no shortcuts and showed great attention to detail. Highly recommended."

"Daryl and his team did an amazing job on my place. They tore out and pored huge back patio, front porch and driveways. Could not ask for better guys or quality of work. Daryl is upfront and straight forward, so no BS. Something I respect in a contractor. He takes task at hand and gets it done. No question that I would hire him again and fully recommend for any of your concrete needs."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Horseshoe Bend, ID

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
