He finished in 90 minutes and that included going back to hardware store for a different color grout because he didn't like the way it looked. When done you could not tell the floor had been fixed. "The process was extremely smooth from the initial contact through the final stain application.  Chris was very prompt in getting back with us after we contacted him through Angie's List messaging service.  We talked (via phone) though the process and what we were looking for.  And we were very impressed with his professionalism, courtesy, and the levels of questions he asked us in order to gauge exactly what we wanted in order to verify if his services would fulfill our request.  He then walked us through what would happen next after the phone conversation - including the physical trip to our home for the bid and the leaving of his business card with plastic stain sample card; his business card looks like a piece of wood over which you lay the plastic sample card to see what the cedar would look like when finished.
Once we saw the bid and the color samples, which made us feel very comfortable with him right away and excited to move forward, we called Chris and set up the job.  We talked extensively about the stain application process and Chris reassured us that he would provide whatever color of stain we desired, which we was a HUGE deciding factor in hiring him.  We sent him a down payment to reserve a spot on his calendar, at which time he told us that it would be 2 weeks until he could come out to do the job.
Sure enough, 2 weeks later we got the call to come out.  The next day, Chris and his crew came out to the house and power-washed the deck and porch.  It looked amazing just after that process!  Then, the next day, he and his crew returned to the house and applied the stain.  It looks brand new and very appealing!  Our neighbors were even commenting on it right away and wanted his number.
We are very blessed and honored to have had the chance to work with Chris and his crew at Cedar Specialists.  And we are once again proud to have our porch and deck displayed for the world to see.  We are definitely going to keep Cedar Specialist's contact information on hand for future jobs!
