Arnold has been in the fence business since 1979.

"I cannot comment on their fence work. However, My neighbor hired them to put in his fence, and they hit my internet line. No one was told or informed until I discovered it and the internet company ruled it as that. Now, 2 months later I still have no internet, and the IT company and fence company both refuse to take any responsibility. They claim the IT company didn't locate it, IT claims they should have reported it, both expect me or as each says "Someone to pay" for it (also means me since I'm the only person who seems to need it fixed) before it'll get fixed. It isn't even my fence. I am a completely separate innocent individual in all this, and I am the only person negatively effected by this. Not only have I had to cancel my service now, but I am having to switch to the only other internet provider in my area which is going to cost me twice as much a month. So, in short, their fences might be fine, but they may screw over your neighbors and then do not f all to rectify it. So you'll definitely need that fence to hide behind now that your relationships with your neighbors has been hit."

Remodel and repair experts for residential and commercial jobs. Our company was founded by life long carpenters. We employ highly skilled craftsmen, and following strict industry guidelines in the execution of any job we do. We are proactive problem solvers, that value our customers. No job to large, no job to small. At APEX Construction & Remodel "Quality Matters".

"We hired Jon’s company to sand and stain our deck in June 2017. Very long story short, we tried every way to get ahold of Jon to talk about the work that was done for a year and a half. The office manager would always say she will have him call, but we never received a call. The deck was done incorrectly and was never finished. It’s now green, rotting and will most likely have to be replaced. Not only was in raining that day but it had been raining for weeks prior. It clearly states on the 124 ounce can of Superdeck Transparent oil based Stain, to NOT apply “…if rain is likely to occur.” Now, here we are at the end of 2018, we finally get a call from Jon and he threatens us with lawsuits/liens/collections etc at Christmas time, after we have spent as much as we can afford on our 3 daughters for Christmas. He repeatedly tells us how busy his company is, which we don’t care because that has nothing to do with us. He says that his company is full of “professionals” but he was not willing to do anything to rectify my situation except gives us $100 off. Gee, thanks a lot, Jon. The following week, after an EXTREMELY rude phone call from Jon and his accountant Linda, who was yelling at me in the background, we paid him, so we never have to speak to him or his staff of “professionals” again. It is obvious that APEX is a poorly managed business at this point. Next summer we will be re-doing the work on our deck ourselves, correctly and professionally. We do not recommend this company to anyone unless you are into horrible customer service and enjoy being on a back burner. Also, just a side note, if I would have checked court view first, and read the reviews with a reoccurring theme, we WOULD NOT have hired him. That was my bad for not taking time to investigate who I was actually hiring."

FAQs for electronic pet fence installation projects in Houston, AK

Electric fences need a constant power source, can injure people or animals if installed incorrectly, and require consistent training. Some animals, such as sheep and goats, take more coaching than cattle. Severe weather or outages can also knock the system offline, so keep a backup plan ready for containing your animals.

An electric fence lasts 20 years or more. Livestock learn to avoid the shock quickly, but harsh weather, predator activity, and falling behind on maintenance can all shorten that lifespan. Inspect the posts, wires, and chargers regularly and promptly address any necessary repairs to keep your fence in optimal condition.

Yes—if you need a quick, budget-friendly barrier, an electric fence is often worth the investment. Electric fences use fewer materials than wood or chain link, go up faster, and are easy to expand. Just remember: the system depends on steady power and regular checks, so factor those ongoing costs into your decision.

Electric fences require power to operate and depend on a constant electrical supply for proper function. They are powered by either a battery or an electrical outlet. A stable power source is essential because weather extremes or outages can interrupt the operation of the fence, making regular testing and maintenance vital to ensure continuous containment.

Electric fences use a defined amount of power, drawing between four and 25 watts from a standard electrical source. This low power consumption makes the system extremely energy efficient, with operating costs remaining below $5 per month for an average-sized yard. The efficient usage ensures that the fence delivers a reliable shock without imposing high energy expenses.
