"The cabinets themselves were very well made, but the process and other aspects of the experience were less than great. Michael didn't pay much attention to the detailed drawings or project parameters provided by the designer, and didn't verify as-built conditions. As a result one of the cabinets was incorrectly sized and some floating shelves I provided were incorrectly installed. Because they hadn’t been included in the original quote, I had to pay an additional fee. Additionally ,communication and adherence to promised schedule and deadlines was inconsistent. Michael is a nice guy and I can tell he’s capable of doing some very good work, but I wouldn’t hire him again based on this experience."

"Brandon and his crew are fantastic! My wife and I are totally satisfied with his job. We did a total makeover of our kitchen and pantry, about 300 square feet total. Job included gutting to the studs, wiring, plumbing, insulation, blueboard & plaster, painting, cabinet install, custom shelving in pantry and bookcase, hardwood floor repair and refinishing. All of Brandon's subcontractors were quality people as well. Brandon made a schedule ahead of time, and held to it, even when other contractors (countertop install) threw 'monkey wrenches' into the schedule. This is very important to you when you are eating off of a hot plate!
From start to finish, Brandon communicated everything very clearly and responded promptly to any calls or emails.
No major project goes without minor glitches, but Brandon stood behind his commitment at every turn, and made sure every part of the job was up to our very high standards.
He handled all the paperwork and permitting with the town seemlessly.
His price was very reasonable, significantly less expensive than other quotes, yet his work was top-notch.

"Given the complexity of the project, it went as smoothly as something like this can go. Hagit developed a very functional and attractive design based around an island that would seat 3, along with a variety of cabinetry. She was very patient when we wanted a number of adjustments. She accompanied us to pick out counters and backsplash, and always seemed to have good ideas for selections according to our tastes. Brian mapped out the engineering, which included moving a support beam, together with an engineering firm. He also mapped out a three-month schedule with the various subcontractors the firm uses, like the plumber, electrician, plasterer, counter people, floor people, etc. They all had lots of experience with this kind of work, and in working with KCF. Brian worked hard to ensure that new wood flooring would match well with existing flooring just outside the new kitchen. The KCF team also took a lot of care to set things up in our condo to create barriers to minimize dust and dirt, and try to ease our inconvenience; they even loaned us a microwave to use in our temporary kitchen in the basement. For the most part, subs showed up as scheduled, and did good work. KCF also coordinated all the town inspections. There were only a few glitches--the biggest one was when the tiles for the backsplash arrived broken, and it took some weeks to get replacements. The tile outfit wasn't very responsive, and seemed not to care much. But KCF kept on with all the other work, and the tiles were finally put in pretty much near the end. We have used the kitchen for a couple months now and love it. The design and craftsmanship all worked well. Going through a kitchen re-do is never a pleasant experience, but KCF made it as painless as possible."

"Edson and his team are extremely professional and nice. I contacted him 5 days before I wanted our big job (basically repainting the entire apartment) to start, and gave him 7 days to complete the work before he moved in.
Even though it was busy season for Edson (June), he fitted us into his schedule, quoted us $4,400, far less than other painters that we had reached, and seemed very easy to work with.
He started with his team on the day he said he would and ultimately met our deadline even though we kept adding new things here and there.
Once he was working with us, his prices for our additional work were also extremely competitive - in the end we paid him another $2,600 to paint a lot of other things, including (non-exhaustive list) 3 more rooms, 1 fireplace, 1 shelf/cabinet, trimming  and repainting a door, painting crown moldings and baseboard in one the rooms, painting stripes in a bathroom, etc.
Incredibly, Edson decided to throw in a free room - "as a gift to our children" - even though his prices were already so competitive. I was almost worried he wouldn't be making any money on us!
Edson and his team were extremely pleasant to have in the house and we could tell they were hard workers.
Edson himself is an excellent painter and works harder than anyone on his team - he often stayed till midnight to ensure he could remain on schedule.
His team is good but we had to ask Edson to have them correct a number of small mistakes: paint drops here and there, paint on trims in some cases, second coat a little too light. Edson was very professional and service-oriented and made sure everything was exactly as expected before he took off for good with his team.
His team was extremely clean and left our apartment in fantastic condition.
We are very happy with the service provided and will use Edson in the future for interior and exterior painting jobs.
On a side note, he was able to recommend to us an electrician friend of his who provided as amazing a service and as great a value to us.
