"After some research I thought I had acquired the correct part to repair my kitchen faucet myself. Shortly after starting the job I realized I may have the part but not the tools and/or skills to do the job. I consulted Angie's List to find a plumber who could do the job. I liked what I read about Neighborhood Plumbers and gave them a call. <br /> The plumber, Larry, came by within 2 days of me calling him and arrived a few minutes early. Very friendly and personable and professional. After telling him what I wanted done and discussing a water pressure problem along with a marked slowdown in the amount of hot water coming from my kitchen faucet he went right to work. He quickly determined that the part I had would not fix the problem I was having. He suggested I contact the manufacturer of my faucet and see if they would replace my faucet under their warranty. <br /> He took the time to explain to me why my water pressure was not as good as it should be and what would be required to fix it. He asked me to call him back after I received the replacement parts and gave me an estimate of what it might cost to make the required repairs. He did not charge me anything for his time even though he was here at least 30 minutes. I was expecting a charge for a service call at least. <br /> I contacted the manufacturer of the faucet and they agreed to replace my old faucet under their warranty. I received the replacement parts and called Neighborhood Plumbers and scheduled an appointment. On the day of the appointment Larry called me and advised me he was on his way. He arrived early for out appointment and went right to work. Still very friendly and professional. <br /> He did all the required repairs in approximately 2 1/2 hours and left me a happy guy. It is very refreshing to find a person that does what he says he will do quickly and for a reasonable and fair price. <br /> I highly recommend Neighborhood Plumbers and am sure I will contact them again should I have any other plumbing problems. I definitely will recommend them to my friends and neighbors. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I asked why some of the itemized charges were so high. Didn't get any response. Didn't accept the bid. Got another bid for the same repair for less than a third of this quote. No reply to my inquiry about excessive cost for some items."

"It would have been considerably cheaper if we wouldn't have gone with a 6 foot fence but our dogs jump quite high. While the project was going fine, I noticed a bolt that had attached a bracket on our house had broken and was sticking out of the brick. The bracket had not attached since it was broken and was hanging off the house. It did not look good. They asked that I send some pictures and I did. Five days later the gentlemen who we had worked with at Lowe's came back out with one of his guys and repaired the bracket. It's not entirely as nice as it would have been when it was first installed if done correctly but it does look great."

"I own the rental house where this work was accomplished, but live out of state.  It's difficult to keep everything working when you are not in the area.  I contacted Jeff Reed of Sherwood Home Improvement and gave him a brief rundown on what I thought was wrong with the kitchen floor (leaking refrigerator from prior tenant had gotten under flooring and softened the floor in two areas).  Following the repairs, I also wanted new flooring placed in kitchen and pantry area.  Also, I needed several faucets replaced and a board replaced on outside of house (squirrel damage).   Jeff contacted tenant and arranged to take a look at all the problems I described.  He gave me an estimate for repair that I thought was very reasonable.   After completion of the floor repairs, I contacted my tenant who is a lovely elderly woman and she was very very impressed with the work Jeff did, and also the courtesy he displayed during the entire time he was in her home.   WOULD I USE JEFF AGAIN - I ALREADY HAVE.   I will report on that job as soon as it is complete."
