HEXAGON’s owner, Eli Vatkin, is what everyone should be looking for in a contractor. He’s knowledgeable, reasonably priced, trustworthy, responds promptly to any concerns that you have during the project, keeps you apprised of its progress, finishes on time, and generally aims to please. "My first time hiring contractors of any kind for work?was a pleasant experience. Gio (marketer), Chris (general manager), Israel (project manager) were with us every step of the way. We met with at least three different companies for options and NEWHAUS gave us the best price?we did not regret it. If you are hesitant (ladies, elderly, or just inexperienced dealing with matters like these, rest assured that the guys will keep it simple, and even help you out with possible options to save money in the midst of the process. My only advice is to just make sure the same people (from your end and theirs) that are present when the job proposal (estimate) is offered will also be present once the contract is signed to begin the work. As for the work, all three phases were smooth?demolition, repairs/replacement, final installation?and each team responsible for the three different tasks were professional, efficient, and did their jobs correctly. "Would not recommend Atom Builders under any circumstances. They completely botched a roofing job at our building in Santa Ana. Left the roof uncovered right before a storm, which flooded units and caused ceilings to cave in. Mold started growing quickly, and instead of handling it the right way, they charged ahead without permits or testing for lead and asbestos. This is an old building?it obviously had both. We were told to just ?air things out? and not worry, even as walls were soaked and materials were clearly compromised. Then they brought in some guy who wasn?t even licensed to do mold inspection. Just used an app on his phone and said everything was fine. When the city showed up, they made Atom stop work on the spot for doing all of this without any permits. Turns out lead was confirmed later through actual testing. Meanwhile, people had to leave their homes and pay out of pocket just to be somewhere safe. When tenants returned, their places were still a mess. Paint over outl"
