"We have ceramic tile countertops that were installed when our home was built in 1996. Over time a few tiles had gotten minor cracks and the grout had become worn and difficult to maintain. We considered replacing the tile, but after looking at the amount of work that would be involved and cost of replacement, we decided to explore the possibility of regrouting. I contacted Signature Contracting and corresponded with JJ, sending him photographs and measurements. He confirmed that he could do the job. Given that it was a rather small job and that we live in a fairly remote location, he explained that he would have to find a time to work us into his schedule. As we were in no rush, that was fine. It turned out that a window of two days became available, so we went ahead with the work. JJ and his assistant showed up in the morning of the first day. They were a pleasure to work with. JJ discussed the materials he would use, covered options, and work began. Some tiles were replaced with extra tiles we had, the counters were regrouted, and the seam between the counters and backsplash was recaulked. As it happened, the project was completed in a single day, which worked well for both of us. The counters look beautiful. We were very happy with our experience and are glad we know there is someone we can contact if any other projects come up."

"We found John Krause Construction through an Angie's List Big Deal, and"bit" because their reviews were good.  We'd purchased the Big Deal in December and our first appointment was in January.    From the very beginning, we have found the contact and personal attention to be excellent. Troy Wallis, the landscaping expert, came to our house to talk over what we wanted to accomplish.  He provided photos of other projects, had a good look at our site in terms of the plants that would work best in a part-sun, part-shade area, and offered us good advice and lots of choices.  We made choices that took us beyond the Big Deal price, but were not in any way pressured to do so.  He also sent us links to photos and information about the plants he thought would work.  When spring arrived (at last!), he contacted us to let us know when the work would begin.
In about 5 days (we received an email heads-up on the day that the weather wasn't going to cooperate ), Troy and two helpers came daily to accomplish the work. 
--Our old, cracked walkway was removed and replaced with herringbone brick pavers that were meticulously laid and fitted.
--The garden area between the walk and the house was replanted with attractive shrubs and perennials.
--The garden area between the walk and the lawn was defined and replanted.
--Shrubs adjacent to the walk were pruned to create another garden area that was also planted.
--We were given clear information about how large the plants would grow and how to take care of them.
--We were impressed that Troy was on the job the entire time instead of checking in and then vanishing until the end of the day. 
--The workmen were polite, helpful, and hardworking. 
--The job site was cleaned up every day before the crew left: no discarded containers or lunchbags or debris was ever seen.
--In addition to doing the work agreed upon, Troy even did some additional pruning.
--Troy is justifiably proud of creating projects that look great, and takes the time and care to look at the whole picture.
