Nobody tells you metal roofing requires maintenance when they sell it to you. So all the photos and information was vitally important. With that information, we made a well informed decision to get our surprised maintenance done asap. It took some time for our supplies that were ordered to arrive, which doesn't surprise me at all with our wonky home. Once everything was in, the job was scheduled and completed in 2 days. The difference between the minimal materials that were on the roof, and the materials being installed was a HUGE impact. We feel like our roof is definitely secure now. Local businesses are always the best way to go. They know the weather for the area, and how to keep your roof operational for many years. Highly recommend this company. "I needed repairs to a skylight from squirrel damage, and shingles replaced and a section of gutters repaired from a large tree branch hitting roof.  Found Colbalt Roofing on Angie's List and called to get estimate.  Set a time to meet David Francis (Cobalt) at my home to discuss repairs.  As soon as David got on the roof he mentioned it looked as though the roof had hail damage.  I really didn't pay that much attention to his comment as the roof had been replaced within the last 8-10 years and it looked fine to me other than the damaged area from the tree branch and the skylight.  He took notes and said he would work up an estimate and get back with me within 24 hours.  The next day he sent me a reasonable estimate $375.00 to repair the skylight, repair damaged section of gutter, and replace small section of wood on roof and put down new shingles.  We scheduled a time for the repair.  He again mentioned that roof looked like it had hail damage and recommended I consider calling my Insurance Company.  Although I had doubts I called them.  They asked that I hold off on the repairs until they send a claim adjustor. I notified David and he said no problem and stated he would meet the adjustors when they arrived if needed.  The insurance claim adjustor came and confirmed there was severe hail and wind damage to the roof.  He demonstrated to me on section in the roof where there were lines in the shingles and he grabbed and flipped them up.  He also noticed hail damage to the gutters not caused by the tree branch.  There were numerous dents in the gutters and downspouts and numerous scratches and dents in the other four skylights that I thought was just normal wear and tear.  Because of the extensive damage on the roof the adjustor asked to look at the inside of the house where he found minor damage and water spots on the ceiling in three rooms.  Some needed minor repair to the drywall and repainting.  All the repair was covered under my policy other than the damage caused by the squirrel, minus the deductible.  David at Cobalt Roofing provided an estimate for repairs with like materials (architectural shingles) within the insurance claim estimate.  He also offered the opportunity to upgrade the quality of the roof shingles to a shingle called Presidential Shake because of a surplus he had from a previous job that matched the color of our house.  Because of the surplus and with the deep discount  I was able to obtain the higher quality shingles at the same cost of the architectural shingles.  The roofing crew was very professional  and did an excellent job. It did take a little longer than anticipated because of bad weather.  Every evening the crew did a thorough cleanup before departing.  After the roof was completed the painting crew came in and made repairs to the drywall, painted and cleaned up in one day.  My wife and I are extremely pleased with the quality of the work performed.  We now have the best looking roof in the neighborhood."

"Pro Building handled my niece's insurance claim. She had severe water damage to her house from a HVAC unit malfunction. I referred them to Pro Building because they did work for me before and did a great job for me. Pro Building and their exceptional team came in and not only dried out the property but also moved them out and put them into temporary housing (billed the carrier-not my niece). They took care of everything with the carrier and were able to get everything paid for with them only owing their deductible ($1,000). When I tell you this house turned out incredible, I mean it! They did such a great job! They went above and beyond to help in every way! 10/10 would refer them to anyone needing any kind of insurance claim!"

"They did a very good job with the roof and the addition that came off the house and covered the deck. The only reason I gave them a B rating for quality instead of an A has to do with the finishing touches on the addition. All around the house the soffit fascia is covered in white sheet metal. When they finished the addition, which follows the roof line of the back of the house. They left it with bare, untreated wood. They don't use treated lumber because it reacts with the metal roofing and some corrosion may result. That's fine, but they should have at least covered it so that it tied in with the rest of the roof line. As we did our final inspection, I asked about the wood being treated and he explained why they don't use it. I said " so I guess I'll have to cover it?" He said that I would. I was leaving town on business in a couple days and had a lot going on, so I guess I just didn't think to put my foot down and insist they do it. Here in Mobile, Alabama we are the wettest city in the nation. We get more annual rainfall than Seattle, and it's humid. Wood rot happens.I went and bought some Thompson's Water Seal, and some sheet metal and took care of it myself. I have some pictures, but I don't see how to post them on this review page. The workers were very polite and cleaned up very well each day.

"Ken was very knowledgeable about our problems.  We asked him about several issues; some needed fixing and some did not.  I respect his opinions.  Our major issue was a two story wall that was sagging because it was built between floor joists.  We had an extra joist and supports installed.  The workmen were courtious and effecient.  Our floor feels very stable now.

"I called Patch Adams when I noticed that there was a wet spot on my kitchen ceiling.  I wanted to see what it would cost for a new roof.  They came right out...within one hour of my phone call they were at my home. They did a thorough inspection of my roof, and of my attic.  They also gave me an estimate for a new roof to be installed.  The price they quoted was $5900 (with change) for one type of shingle, and $6100 for another type of shingle.  Along with a "chimney repair".  I thought it was high but told them I would call them back after I had received several other quotes.  I also had asked them if it looked like there was any wind or hail damage, to which they replied no.
  Another company (Sta Dry) came out the following week and inspected everything.  Their quote was  $500 less, but they indicated that there was some wind/hail damage, and I could possibly qualify for a new roof just by paying my deductible on my homeowners policy.  Sta Dry sent someone who was there when my insurance company sent an adjuster, and was with him the entire time.  I did end up getting a new roof and having to pay just the deductible as a result of Sta Dry's efforts.  I was very glad I had called them!
