"I recently had a small fence installed by Mountain Fence which went fine. The problem I have is what happened afterwards. I was requested to pay for the fence by check. Unfortunately, I forgot to transfer funds to the checking account associated with the check I wrote so it didn't clear (which is obviously 100% my fault). The owner then wanted to be paid in cash which is understandable. A couple days after I paid him in cash I noticed that the check I wrote him had cleared and the funds had been removed from my account. The owner claims that he did not attempt to cash the check and blames his bank for automatically attempting to cash the check again (this time it did clear because I had the funds). I don't believe him. I've opened up an investigation with my bank and will update this review when a resolution is found but at the current time, I've paid TWICE for the fence and I'm not at all happy with the experience I've had with this company."

They are responsive to phone, email and text. We was very impressed with their punctuality. In fact, they were able to do the entire job a day ahead of time (after reaching out to us) to avoid several days of rain. "We live on a hill, with a set of steps to navigate the front yard, that end in a landing at the bottom. They were destroyed in an accident. Steve and his crew at SS Creative were the contractor I selected to repair the work. They did an excellent job matching the new construction to the old construction. Although I didn't expect it, they finished the job on Christmas Eve! I intend to call them for future projects. Excellent craftsmanship!"

"Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"
