"The sensor installation went great from quote to finish of the installation. Gate Logic's President Shanna provided two quotes, one to replace the existing sensor with the same type and another to replace it with a more robust version. I chose the latter more expensive quote, but I still see it as a very good deal. Gate Logic Security worked very well in coordination with Hand H Asphalt Paving, who I recommend as well. The job went smoothly and all was completed on the same day. <br /> I have little doubt that the gate sensor will provide years of solid service as I witnessed the installation and saw the manner in which it was protected (i.e., the depth to which it was dug, the sand base and covering of the sensor so rocks don't penetrate the plastic jacket and the electrical PVC pipe for the wire from the main box to the sensor to eliminate moisture and rodent ingress / damage)."

"I narrowed down fencing companies to two from here on Angie's List to Fairfax Fence (FF) and another competitor who did mostly all the other fences in my community.  I emailed FF on a Sunday and received a call back the following Monday (points for responsiveness!).  As scheduled, the estimator (Tim) came out and quickly measured the perimeter of our yard.  We then sat down to discuss fence styles.  After Tim left, we decided on 3 styles of fencing then informed Mr. Schuppel of our choices.  Mr. Schuppel quickly responded with detailed descriptions of the work to be done and price qutoes for each style fence.  A few times, we changed the style we wanted and Mr. Schuppel was happy to adjust the estimate. <br /> We settled on a style, negotiated the final price and then scheduled a time for install.  When it came time for install day, I waited for hours (scheduled to start between 9-9:30) and no crew had showed up.  I thought I'd give them an hour or two before I called in.  Noon rolled around and still no crew so I called in.  Found out that the crew had mistakenly started ANOTHER job which I found to be very unusual/odd!!  I sat around for hours giving them the benefit of the doubt only to find out they were never coming at all ??!!  Needless to say, I was PO'd.  It's a good thing I called in; otherwise, I would have been sitting around all day waiting for nothing!   If it's any consolation, Mr. Schuppel was apologetic and promised to start the job another day.  I had to postpone the install to another day because I had company coming over that day. <br /> Install day came and the crew (3 hardworking guys) came on time.   The lead guy (I forgot his name) introduced himself and we went over what was to be done. A few hours later, Tim came by to check on the workers.  The lead installer knocked on my door once or twice to let me know of a change in the original plans and wanted my approval..I'm glad he did that.  They started at around 10am and finished up close to 8pm...they took a short break for lunch and went back at it.  The installers worked flawlessly and tirelessly and did a terrific job.  They were respectful, polite and cleaned up the work area as best they could.   Hard to believe these guys do this day-in and day-out.  I tipped them well but I know they deserved more than what I gave them.  <br /> Despite the few minor glitches in the beginning, it was an overall good experience.  I would recommend Fairfax Fence to others. <br />"

"We were quoted a price of $195 to re-install our existing mailbox on a new post that would look as much like our neighbors' as possible, and we double-checked to be sure that this price included all labor, parts, etc before proceeding. The mailbox was instead mounted on a much thicker, stronger post and we were charged $250. We don't dispute the quality of the work, which looks good (it is all 4x6 whereas everyone else on the block has 4x4). But we wish we had been consulted beforehand about the change in plans and the extra expense."

"The work was completed in excellent manner and left me feeling that my gates should be functional for the near future. <br /> <br /> I have had two gate systems installed by Aurora Services over the past Ten Years. Both installations were completed on time and within budget. The company will work with the contractor and the consumer to ensure the system is properly installed in a timely manner and ensures the gate is up and running as soon as possible. The systems Aurora install are 'state of the art' with both residential and commercial applications available. <br /> <br />  The company is run by Brad and Amber Isham who both have comprehensive knowledge in installation and maintenance of FAAC and Viking systems.  The installation and follow up by the Company is excellent.  They will not leave the customer without a operational system if at all possible.  The company also tries to educate their customers about the operational aspects of the gate system so many times the little problems which do arise with gate systems due to power surges, strong storms & etc., can be solved by the customer and not by a service call from Aurora thereby saving the customer the time and expense of service.  If a service call is necessary, the response is prompt. <br /> <br /> As to pricing, I feel that Aurora gives you a grade A+ system at a decent price. I am considering upgrading my oldest system (10+ years) to a newer system and would not think of using any one other that Brad, Amber & their team."
