"House: Mid 1800s farmhouse, approximately 4000 square feet Inspection Components: General home inspection, plus termite, radon, well water, and septic tests Time to complete: approximately 3 hours. Inspection report was provided the same day and other tests came in a week and a half later. Inspector (Chuck): Was responsive and and accommodating for scheduling the inspection. He arrived early on the day of inspection to begin his prep work. Chuck took his time to explain the inspection process and walk us through each part of the home. He gave us detailed overviews of similar homes and potential issues, then explained how this home compared. He also helped explain how the mechanics of the house work and how to operate components of it effectively. Quality: As far as we can tell, Chuck's inspection was very thorough. He pointed out a number of issues and look his time to triage and assess potential problems. His equipment is top notch, and includes a drone for roof shots and a thermal camera for assessing the heating system and finding heat leaks. He collaborated well with a second septic inspector we had on site and even found a minor plumbing leak in the basement that had previously been undetected. Value: For the size of this home and quality of his service, Chuck was a great value. His price includes a discount for finding him via Angie's List. Summary: I recommend Chuck based on his service. Chuck arrived early, was detail oriented, and provided a high quality report. Other reviews on Angie's List seem to be accurate reflections of his work. I did have to send him a reminder e-mail to get our well and radon results although Chuck responded back with the results very quickly. This was around the holidays so, considering, that minor delay was understandable and not a big deal."

"<p>it was superb! they easiest, hassle free Radon test in town, with extremely proficient people -- very knowledgeable and very people-friendly! they took their time to explain things on the phone to me before I committed. the test came back within 10 days or so -- via email. which is very convenient. it was very clear as it is, but I like talking through it and get advice. they were instantly available to discuss. they gave me future tips to keep on top of all things Radon related. </p> <p>I have to say that all this comes to be after 3 months of many back and forths with 3 other companies -- none of the other companies could be bothered to schedule a time, and those who did, never showed up.. many times over. "I worked with Mike at Enzyme Life Sciences, who was very responsive throughout the entire bat extraction process.  From the start, Mike made it clear that his primary focus is on the clean up of the bat droppings using his enzyme formula.   <br /> I had done my research into the bat extraction process prior to working with Mike, and was surprised that he did not have a plan that coincided with what I had read.  Either way, I decided to trust Mike, and his expertise, and worked with him through this bat extraction process. <br /> The exterior of the structure was sealed up using caulk and spray foam.  The spray foam was sanded away and its remnants can still be found in various places throughout my lawn.  This isn't entirely terrible, though it does remind me of how unsightly some of the yellow spray foam is on the outside of my house.   <br /> Mike also used a wire mesh to fill in larger openings, as well as to construct one-way extraction traps to allow bats to freely leave the structure.  There was a piece of wood that needed to be replaced, which Mike did replace, though it wasn't painted and was left for me to remedy.  This isn't necessarily a deal breaker, though my expectation would be that the exterior of the house would look the same, if not slightly better, after working through this bat extraction process with Enzyme Life Sciences. <br /> Throughout the entire process it was clear that Mike's company focuses on the enzyme treatment.  Mike made working with him and his schedule easy, as he was super responsive from start to finish. <br />"

"Was looking for a Quality Home inspector and found Sonic Home Inspections via Home Advisor. Spoke with Mike Kapur who walked me through in details as this was my first time for a Home Inspection. He took all the time in explaining step by step what will be process that needs to be followed. He was on top on the communications for scheduling the inspections as we wanted to have it on a weekend and be a part of the inspection process. On the day of inspection he was spot on time and by the time we and the realtor were there he had already performed the exterior inspection that saved 1 hour of our time. He was very detailed in the inspection and explained each and every step. The report we received was very detailed and had lot of pictures and we were able to use the same to cover all the defects and get a fair credit from the seller. I would highly recommend Mike for your home inspection as he would find the issues for the property without sounding alarming but providing information on how it can be corrected."

Chris is the owner and installer and he gave me a date 2 days away since I wanted this done immediately and he had a cancellation. He was considerate, courteous and quite knowledgeable about radon and how high exposure for an extended period can cause physical Illnesses. Price was $150. for the test and $1,500. for the installation of the mitigation system."
