They repaired and replaced rotten siding and windowsills. They pressure cleaned and painted the exterior of the house. They installed French doors. They removed some drywall and replaced it after putting a new boot on the roof to prevent further pater intrusion. In short - lots of stuff. They were very prompt and responsive. The project was to repair the planks on the deck and the associated stairs. Unfortunately, the original contractor had failed to install flashing, leading to rot on the stringers and joists that was not visible before the start of the project. As a result, both the stringers and joists needed repair. To me, this was not only beyond the original project scope but could be covered by twining the existing joists? an easier fix. Despite this, Malik completely replaced all three stair stringers and several joists at no additional cost. And, perhaps for the first time, I had to negotiate with a contractor to pay a higher price as he wanted to stick to his original quote, which was still pretty low considering the additional time and material required.
