"First, let me state that I believe Burnett to be a good company. When the right crews are doing the work, I believe their finished product to be satisfying to the customer. I do not like writing a review that is unsatisfactory and I am normally very easy to please as a customer. I was apprehensive in who to choose for installing siding on my home. I gave it a lot of thought and decided to go with Burnett due to positive reviews. I knew I was going to be spending more money to go with Burnett but it was important for me to have the assurance of quality work performed. On the third day of the installation, I found out on my own investigating that the installers put in my vented soffit over my existing wood without opening up any holes to vent to the attic. When I asked the installer what they do to vent the air, he told me “we cut out holes in the wood.” I then asked him why he didn't do that on my home. He said nothing. At this point, I contacted the sales manager I had been working with. I told him that I had issues with the siding installation. He was unfortunately ill so he could not assist. However, he did say he would refer this matter to another employee. I waited over 24 hours and received no contact from Burnett. Meanwhile, the questionable installation was still being performed. I then contacted Burnett again and finally received correspondence back. I was told they would remove the first crew and bring in a second. The sales manager apologized for being out of work and mentioned that he would have been on site several times to check their work and speak with me. The second crew was like night and day. They were very professional, quick in their work all the meanwhile maintaining quality. They took off the fascia of other parts of the house and vented the attic in which the first crew did not do. After they were finished, the gutter install was scheduled. This third crew was fantastic and friendly and did a great job. My main issue outside of the first crew, was a communication deficit on the part of Burnett. Although I understood that the sales manager was ill for a while, I never received another phone call from the sales manager ever again. The last time we spoke, was when he told me he was getting another crew to my home. He could have called me while the second crew was on site and asked if the install was any better. I had to make all the efforts to have any semblance of communication. The only contact I had was with the on site crews. Clean-up issues were really never my concern as I realize you will find pieces from the installation scattered around your home no matter what the effort. However, I had to spend about 3 hours picking up large pieces of old guttering, large cardboard boxes, many cigarette butts and a large amount of fragmented aluminum trim. I shouldn't have had to make such an effort to get communication from Burnett to address installation concerns. I also did not see any managers stop by during the installation process. Hopefully, my install was not what is typical from Burnett and I would say that if anyone goes with them, the odds are good you will be satisfied with hiring them, just as long as they solve their communication problems during the installation as well as after. I had planned on them coming out to do some exterior doors, but after this job I will not go with them again."

"I gave a 3 star rating after careful consideration. There is siding and guttering on my house, so there was some work done on my home. Please note that 3 out of 5 is equal to 60%, which is just shy of a failing grade. I spent $38,500 for the work done on my home. I wanted so badly to have a good experience and be happy with the quality of work. Unfortunately, that was not at all what I received. I made a $5,000 down payment in November 2019. Work was to begin at the end of January 2020. Owner, Lewis Gonzalez, kept putting me off and the work did not actually begin until June 2020. I am a pharmacist and was dealing with the early phase of the COVID pandemic, so I was somewhat distracted during this time. I definitely wish I would have ended the business relationship during the 5 month delay, but hindsight is always 20/20. Lewis had two young men that he called "the Russian guys" working on my project. Much of their work was questionable at best. These gentlemen ripped the dryer ventilation duct apart while removing the exterior vent, covered up rotted wood that I had specifically pointed out to be removed and replaced, screwed siding trim into styrofoam backing, etc. I could go on, but I have pictures of the work that will better detail the situations. Then, during the second week of work, Lewis informed that "the Russian guys" were going on vacation and would not be finishing the work on my home. Lewis and some of his other workers finished the job. I had two garages doors that were to be removed so that an exterior wall could be built to enclose the garage. A double door was also to be installed as part of the wall. Daylight can be seen from inside the garage where there is an open gap. Standing outside the garage, you can see areas of unprotected plywood, used to construct the wall, behind the siding. I recently learned that the plywood is not nailed into the 2x4 framing, so the exterior wall is actually bowed out. Inside the garage, the 2x4 framing does not meet in the corners where it was erected. The guttering has been another catastrophe. Work was "completed" the week after 4th of July weekend in 2020. The following week I saw where the gutter opening dumped water on a junction between the shingles and fascia of another part of the roof. I sent Lewis a video on 7/13/2020 of the situation. He told me multiple times in the intervening months that it would be corrected. It is still not corrected. It is a strange coincidence that the roof failed at this very location and has caused water damage to the ceiling in the interior garage. I could go on and on about the frustrations and disappointments of this past year since the work began, but I think photos and videos would do a much better job of conveying my feelings. I recently signed up for Facebook again so I could get these pictures and videos online. I thought I was finished with social media in 2011 when I closed my Facebook account, but here I am again. "Went well, was very pleased with work, he developed an illness while working (sinus infection or bronchitis something of that sort) plus his help quit arriving, so it was just him, he pushed through and completed the project, my only complaint would be he did get in a bit of a rush and a few things were missed that I corrected after he was done but again he was ill, his help quit showing and it was HOT!!! He framed an 8 feet deep 44 feet wide and 64 feet long wrap around porch in a week! Fred was a great guy and would hire again"
