"I went through like 3 other chimney groups including Chimney Sweep Masters and they all gave me conflicting information. Emerald City Chimney on the other hand was honest and thoroughly dismantled all the b******* the others tried to sell me. That’s what happens when you actual experienced workers take the lead instead of salespeople. It took a while to figure out exactly what the best approach would be, but in the end I got a job done for like $650 when the others wanted like $3000. I bought a custom fit chimney cap myself for like $200 I think and then had emerald city retrofit and install it for $450."

"They arrived right at the beginning of the time slot. They repaired all three crowns with new mortar, then sealed them plus the top crown. They wire brushed the chimney and applied a sealant on the whole chimney. Since I did not obtain any other bids for this work, I have no idea how good or bad the price is, thus the B grade for price. They have done prior work for me and have cleaned my chimney for years so I trust them. Workers were friendly and polite and cleaned everything up when they were done."

The tech opened up the fireplace, banged around, and determined that we needed $2550.00 worth of work done on the unit. Jonathan was my second opinion for the job. He opened it up, looked around, and determined that it simply needed a good cleaning and some adjusting. He cleaned the unit and the exhaust, worked on it for roughly an hour, and had it working like new, for less than half the price the other company quoted us. On top of all this, Jonathan explained to us exactly how the unit worked so we would have a better understanding of the lighting process. Now a bit about Jonathan. This man is bright (extremely), honest (my instinct tells me as much), and has a frankness in his demeanor that is fresh and welcome in these times where everyone seems to be on the grift.
