When I decided to replace my original front door with an updated mid-century upgrade I knew it would require a new frame, sill, trim, and weather-stripping in addition to the door itself. As a board member in my Queen Anne Condo association I wanted the work to be competent, quick and disturb as few neighbors as possible. DP Palmer did not disappoint, once again! With their expert guidance I chose fiberglass over a wood door for durability, sound proofing and general appearance. The door arrived painted, and work was completed within one long day. "We were so pleased with the quality of work performed by Tall Pines Construction on our large, extensive bathroom remodel that we hired Tall Pines to install new flooring--engineered acacia wood--throughout our entire home (except for the bathrooms). It was a huge job, but we're so glad we did it. The floors look like a work of art. While doing the floors, Tall Pines also changed all our floor boards and interior trim around windows and doors to give our house a sharp new appearance and feel. The crew were a delight to work with and to have in our home. Late August while having some siding work and shingle replacement done on our exterior, rot was discovered in two areas. We called Tall Pines, and they quickly came out to the house, assessed the damage and repaired it before the rains set it. We believe in relationship building with service companies.Tall Pines is a company you can work with for the long run. We highly recommend them."

"I am a repeat customer, so I knew the carpenter, Joe, coming in. I started by using their design contractor. I gave her the colors and ideas (beach theme, ceramic wood-look floor tiles), and she pulled the rest together. Invaluable because I can't trust my own taste. They removed a square shower in the corner and a set of shelves next to it, and glassed in that end of the room for a full shower. We put tile down along the whole room, with a recessed shower pan, and a linear drain against the wall. Joe built-in medicine cabinets, and trim all around the room, per my design pictures. The subs included a glass door guy, the plumber, the tiler, painter, and the countertop slab tiler. We also had some work done in our hallway. They removed the single boob light from the middle, and installed two recessed lights on either end, along with putting two switch boxes on either end of the hallway. Joe built a floor to ceiling cabinet in a 13” dead space at the end of the hallway, which included a laundry hamper on tracks, cubbies, and shelves. And then on a whim, I asked to have our old hallway linen cupboard doors replaced to match the new ones. We had two leaks during and after, but one reason I would use them again, is how they handled both times. One was a leak from the plug on the toilet supply. We found it on a Saturday morning, and I ended up waking up our carpenter with my text. He came out and figured it out and fixed it by 1. The other one was after everything was done and cleaned up, and we had paid for everything. The basement bathroom ceiling, fan, and wall below the master was wet one day, and we realized a joint in the pipe from the master toilet to the stack was slowly dripping between the two rooms. I texted Joe again, and he referred me to our GC, who came out with a plumber and fixed it. They had to make a hole in the downstairs drywall, so he has been coming back regularly to put three layers of mud on the new drywall. I was so sure that they would regretfully find that it wasn't their fault and we would have to deal with the cost and bother of finding a plumber and carpenter. Start to finish, it took about four months, but three weeks of that was the initial tile order, and another three for an incorrect tile order."

"The work they did is top notch, I love our patio and couldn't be happier with what they've done with the space. They did a lot of work for us over two months to build a patio and beautiful back yard. We love it. That said, our home is a 70+ year old house in Magnolia with concrete pipes. A year or so after they did the work we had a backup. After the plumbers came out they found that a section of the piping had been crushed by a large rock that had been set while they were regrading the area. The repairs were ~15k all said and done then. I contacted Ryan and he looked into their insurance covering it and they weren't going to do it out of pocket. I value my time more than money and I let it go, and Ryan had some guys come out and fix the area that had to be torn up for free, least they can do. "The work they did is top notch, I love our patio and couldn't be happier with what they've done with the space. They did a lot of work for us over two months to build a patio and beautiful back yard. We love it. That said, our home is a 70+ year old house in Magnolia with concrete pipes. A year or so after they did the work we had a backup.
