The driveway was more than 30 years old and was laid on the existing contour of the lot, allowing rain from the street and yard to flow towards the house. There were also oak tree roots beneath the drive that raised and broke up the surface. Brachen took up the old drive and cut deep enough to remove the roots under the gravel bed. They reshaped the drive slope to improve the drainage and laid a solid gravel base. The asphalt topping is even, with smooth lines and edges. I am extremely pleased with the job.
