"I can only say great things about JA Drywall. We had quite a complicated chimney repair. From the beginning of the process, this company stood out from all the others. Most companies did not return my calls. One did respond but never showed up to start work. The JA Drywall owner came to our initial appointment on time, evaluated the job and gave us a reasonable and fair estimate. The work crew then came on time and worked really hard for two days to repair the chimney. At each stage they kept us informed of progress. "We have used Alan Drake MANY times at this point -he is our go-to contractor for all our projects big & small. Our first experience of him was when he finished our basement after we had it lowered a foot (by another company). Did a great job from the first minute - was reasonable on price, had the expert on his team, Karl, draw our plans for rebuilding our basement steps & finishing basement for permit purposes,  framed & built walls, finished with trim/cabinet doors, and then had his team paint the whole thing. We then had to use him after our basement unfortunately flooded from Irene when he had to redo a good amount of the work he had done the year before. We've used his team to paint our entire house top to bottom & they did an efficient and beautiful job. Have used them to clean our gutters periodically and power wash the back of our house and patio - always at a reasonable price. And this latest time when our sewer pipe backed up and caused a flood only days before we were having an open house, he came through and squeezed us into his schedule at the last minute, seeing what an emergency it was. Alan is a friendly, extremely personable guy, and beyond fair in price and setting expectations. We highly highly recommend him. He is our hero! Tip: Alan communicates best by text because he is so very busy.
