"Hired Strickland Pools to locate a leak I have had four over 4 years. I have hired two other pool leak company's which could not Pin point the leak, but Bryan from Strickland pool took a logical approach and identified and made repairs in less than two days, great craftsmanship, very professional. "Since we discovered Fred two years ago, we always call him for any thing that we need help with. No matter whether it’s plumbing, electricity, or any kind of other handyman job, he always comes over if we call him to see if he can assist. If it is a job that is out of his hands, he will put you in the direction of someone who can help. He works efficiently and provides very honest, yet thorough and well done, labor. He doesn’t cut corners and he gives 110%. I couldn’t recommend him more if you need a reliable person to call."

"Sharing this review on behalf of my mother who bought this furniture from House of Lamps & Shades yesterday… We bought some furniture yesterday. Please note the 81” teak bench purchased from House of Lamps & Shades. John loaded it onto his trailer, alongside furniture he had purchased at other locations. On the way home, less than ten miles away, he noticed the back slats were falling off. The pieces appear to have been glued on (poorly glued or even not glued on in some cases.) I called the company first thing this morning and they said, “No refund; it’s not our problem. Once it leaves the store, we are not responsible.” She told me we shouldn’t have had it on a flatbed. (I am wondering two things- who has room for an 81” item in their vehicle. And secondly, furniture should be able to withstand this drive… unless it’s already damaged.) She was rude and defensive. Still a “No.” I told them an appropriate response would be, “I’m so very sorry that happened. Of course a full refund will be given.” Or “Absolutely, we will refund. We stand behind our products.” I was told the owner would call me back. He didn’t. I called again this morning. This time a different lady answered the phone and she already knew about this situation and said, “It was in your possession when the damage happened.” She went on to tell me that another customer bought the exact item and had it on her flatbed and it was perfectly fine. I mentioned that shows THIS bench was faulty. The back slats were glued in. (See the photos.) I would like to publicly say this is terrible customer service and bad store policy. I’d like to pose a question for all who read this (and I hope this travels far and wide) Why would anyone buy an item from a place that doesn’t back up their products? This place sells light fixtures (and more) that are thousands of dollars. I went there to consider buying light fixtures and brought home pictures of ones to consider. That won’t be happening. And I hope you don’t trust them with your lighting purchases either. I will publicly update this situation should they reach out and refund or pay for the bench to be fixed. Please note this is the first time I’ve ever spoken ill of any business."

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Jacksonville, FL

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
