"The technician was very polite. He arrived early. Now, not a fault of the technician, but the bad zone could not be detected nor located. It is possibly buried underneath the 2ft stone/sand patio, and too deep for the detector. Also we needed all of the values in the yard identified. The technician ID’ed with yard flags 6 of the 8 located/known valves but 2 of the 8 were not identified in the yard. Of course We know 1 of the total 9 zones was assumed buried too deep. The technician decided to replace a solenoid on one of the valves but discovered it was the wrong valve. He didn’t charge me for the solenoid but he didn’t subtract the time it took to remove/replace it. Overall, I know the technician worked hard but I expected better results. He didn’t closeout the service call very well by not cleaning up. He had left behind the bad solenoid on the garage floor and 3 yard flags on top of a tv in the garage, and the control panel door was obstructed by wires he’d left bundled. Pretty minor and petty for me to mention that, but the lack of cleanup weighed a little into the ‘C’ rating."
