"Chad Hughes was a pleasant surprise. He's originally from Chicago so he seemed to really know his way in and around a chimney. We asked him a million questions and he answered knowledgeably and honestly and gave us several options for what to do with our fireplace with pros and cons for each option. <br /> We thought his demeanor was very professional. He's a straight shooter with a confident way about him and he made us feel secure about the decisions we made with our fireplace. <br /> He agreed to come out on a Sunday evening when it was convenient for us and he stayed a good 30-45 minutes. He charged us $75 for the inspection though we felt it was more than an inspection given that he took down the plaster, cleaned and gave us recommendations and answered our many questions. <br /> We live in the Downtown area in an older home. He rode his bicycle over from a few miles away to save gas but also drives a work truck for jobs outside of the Downtown area. He's clean-cut and presents himself well. We believe he may know more than many of the other chimney services we called for help. <br /> We were recommended to him by our historic neighborhood association. We appreciate his candor, knowledge and massive help. Well worth the $75 inspection fee and we will definitely call on him in the future for our chimney maintenance needs. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Two different workers performed the work. One performed all work associated with mold remediation, which included setting up the tent and blower, removing drywall and cleaning the area to remove mold spores, and removing the tent after the final mold inspection was completed. Another worker completed the remaining work, which involved repairing and painting drywall and installing and painting the new door. The new door will be more resistant to water damage on the door surface since it is constructed of steel. All work was done in a professional manner and the workers were very approachable and open to discussing anything. I received a 5% discount for being an Angie's List member. <br />"

"Joel came out as promised, installed and vented out the fireplace in less than a day.   Unfortunately my wife was not there at the time.   When she saw where the fireplace was positioned, she was upset.   She had told myself and Joel that she wanted it up off the floor, (more centered in the wall), and we thought that meant approximately 1 foot.   Not so.   She wanted it higher, more a focal point for the room.   Joel had to come back to install a lever, and I asked him if he would raise the fireplace another six inches.   He wasn't real happy to go through all that work again but said he would and only charged an additional $250.00.     My wife was very pleased with the positioning.   Joel Walker was prompt, and really went out of his way to accommodate us.  The fireplace is a beautiful product."
