"Ken was fantastic from start to finish. I hired him to remove an old basketball hoop, pour new cement, and install a new one. The job turned out to be much tougher than expected—the old cement was nearly impossible to break up and the clay ground was hard to dig deeper for the required dept —but Ken handled it like a pro, using a jackhammer and digging through hard clay soil without complaint. Despite the extra work and materials needed, he stuck to his original price even when I asked to pay him more, which speaks volumes about his integrity. He returned a few days later to assemble the hoop, and the final result was perfect—every measurement was spot-on. Ken went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. "Dale Painting was OUTSTANDING! I'd hire them again in a millisecond. They prepared a highly detailed bid that addressed all of my issues and put me at ease. Their price was lower than 5 of 6 companies I had bid on the job. They expertly helped me pick out the final colors that made feel comfortable going forward. They emptied all kitchen cabinets and removed many wall hangings and put them back exactly where they came from! And last but not least the finished painting job of all walls and ceilings looked superb. Excellent paint coverage, perfectly straight lines when abutting the ceiling or cabinets...no overspill. No paint drops or microsplaters anywhere. They totally covered all furnishings in plastic and taped ground cloth paper that couldn't move to the floor...very impressive. And to top it off they left me the unused paint in each of the five colors in case I need to do touch-ups down the road. 110% satisfaction with every single aspect of the job."

"We've used 5-Star Painting twice now, and been happy both times. When we moved into our house 3 years ago, we had 3 bedrooms and the hallways repainted, top to bottom (floors, trim, walls). The crew were capable, professional and respectful. We were so happy we hired 5-Star again when it was time to repaint our bathroom this year, as part of a bathroom reno. They repainted the ceiling and walls, and did minor drywall repair. They matched the sand texture for the repairs, and did a great job. At the same time, we hired them to paint a bedroom ceiling. Some of the paint looked like it had bubbled. When the painter started to scrape off the bubbling, he found black mold and let me know immediately. We called ServiceMaster, who came quickly, and determined that the ceiling was not wet, there was no leaking from the roof (replaced 3 years ago), and said the mold was likely from the previous old roof. ServiceMaster said it could be scraped off, sealed and repainted, which 5-Star Painting did. Throughout the process they were calm, professional and displayed their expertise. The painting crew foreman had told me what he thought was the issue- and ServiceMaster confirmed it with their specialty instruments and inspection an hour later! We were very pleased."

"I have an invasive weed Garlic Mustard that suddenly appeared in April and also the common buck thorn in my back trees. I was told I had to pay cash and they would not take a check. They would also not come to do any estimate on how many guys and hours I would need to do the job; I had to guess. I ended up having them come two times: first 4 guys for 8 hours; second time 2 guys for 4 hours (per the guess of the first leader for how long and what I'd need the second time). They still did not complete the job. The first crew of guys were better than the second crew of guys. They were college guys, some working hard, some walking and working slowly and on their phones. However, I'm suffering cancer and could not take care of the job, thus had to get someone to control the spread. Thankfully, they did get most of the job done for me. Whether the Garlic Mustard was pulled out by the root, time will tell. The first crew used shovels and got the buck thorn pulled out pretty good; the second crew just cut the buck thorn off. Although I had informed Eric Pfeffer about the invasive weed and explained how it would spread on boots and tools, procedures were followed by some of the guys and not by others. They did not seem to be familiar with working with an invasive weed. Both crews arrived on time, but stopped work 45 min before end time to pick up tools, but also both left the job site (unfinished) a good 20-30 minutes early. Eric communicated via email pretty good after the initial "canned" email response. In their survey, they ask to rate the guys - if you expect this, they need to have their names on their shirts or give you their names. I am unsure, I may or may not hire again."
