"I had issues related to electrical surges from storm-related power outages. Some lighting fixtures were not working and I attempted to replace some dimmer switches myself. The screwy wiring did not make sense to me so I called for help. He sorted out various issues (loose wire nuts in fixture, blown LED bulbs, weird wiring choices) and got everything working. I think he had shoemaker's elves hiding in his van because while I worked with him in the dining room, other fixtures and outlets in other rooms on different circuits started working without being touched. I can't guarantee they will accompany him on all future jobs but I was very happy with their contribution."

The kitchen is fabulous and I don't know what I love most about it. From the newly leveled floor, to improved insulation and electrics, to raising the ceiling to the rafters, to combining two small boxy rooms into one huge and functional space, to repurposing the 50 year old solid wood cabinets, to adding a super pantry wall - everything was done to perfection! Truly a floor-to-ceiling-and behind the walls remodel that was completed within the price that we had agreed upon - no surprises or shocks! I don't think that there is anything that Powerhouse can't do and do very well. Certified electricians, master carpentry, expert tile work, creative fabrication of pantry doors....they excelled at all of this. Additionally, these men were a pleasure to have in my home - a real bonus when doing a project of this intensity (of time, money and decisions). They exhibit a strong work ethic, share great senses of humor, set and achieve high standards for quality of work, are never idle, cleaned up the workspace every day, and were always open to sharing ideas and explaining procedures. They get along well with each other - no bickering, no bad language, no dark or moody days! In my opinion, Powerhouse Construction and Electrical is simply the BEST group that I've ever worked with and I consider it a blessing that I found them! As I look to the future. I wouldn't consider any other company with whom to entrust my home projects ! These are "my guys" from now on!"

We signed the contract on September 11, 2015 and the system was fully operational on November 20, 2015.  My house is all electric,( heat pump, well pump, the works ).  Over the winter our highest bill was $ 220.00. Over the summer most bills were about $9.00. One month, AEP actually owed us $15.00.  Given the size of our house (1400 sq. ft.) and our usage, we expect to reach break even in 4.5 years.  Given that the panels are good for 25 years, I'll realize a profit for 20.5 years. This means panels are actually going to be earning money for me? Getting solar panels is a no brainer.

"In the garage in our house, there was a wire leading from the outlet for our garage door opener up into the ceiling, and we did not know what it was for. Apparently, the previous owner had done it and the electrical box was open with wire running out of it. Mr. Herrera came in traced where the wire went, put a new box in to clean up the mess. He traced the wire, reran it to the panel with a separate breaker. His work was clean and neat. He treated me like a professional should, and I highly recommend him."
