"The project went smoothly. I had a short window in which to work as the furniture on our 1st floor was removed for another project. I set up interviews with a number of companies, received estimates, and Mike's worked out the best. They were honest about how the project saying that some old stains on the floors might not sand out; the stairs treads and risers would need to be sanded by hand, therefore would cost a bit more; and the wood used to patch would not exactly match due to age. All of this I understood since the floors were over 100 years old. They had their staff on site early on the day they said they'd start. They worked as quickly as the weather would allow and the project was completed within the time they expected. Its been almost two years and the floors still look great. I waited a while to make this review in order to see if the work would hold up and it still looks nice. Now I'm hoping for another big project in which the furniture on our 2nd floor will be removed so they can do those floors."

"The best! Adrian and his team exceeded any expectations we had on our hardwood floor project. We had them rip out and haul away all upstairs and downstairs carpet, had all new wood floors installed and existing floors sanded and re-stained so now our entire house is wood (he even installed linoleum for us in our laundry room). "Quick response after we started process with HomeAdvisor and on time for the free quote project walkthrough. Provided some suggestions on including subfloor installation for our laminate floor installation job, and ideas on threshold between new laminate and existing ceramic tiles. I took all his suggestions and all of it worked out well. I even had him install new primed wood baseboard trim with quarter round that was extra cost. They took care of it in about 5 hours. (note that we did have the old carpet and old baseboards removed). Pricing was very reasonable for what he suggested that we do as extras and so pleased with the install and scheduling, we got it done fairly quickly. Side NOTE: we had started the process with our local home improvement store install sub, who took two weeks to come out to look at it, another week and half for the quote and no suggestions made, so no subfloor and no baseboard install included. (Note that the "sale installation" price from home improvement center, was more than double on the quote!-shoulda went with homeadvisor from start). As another reviewer mentioned, there will be a lot of sawdust and they did best that they could cleaning up; i used a blower in the garage and it worked out well. Again, quick response to calls; came when they said; quality and efficient installation for reasonable price- we are well pleased."
