"Jonathan did me real solids today. Despite the fact that they were here to clean up bascially messes left by the installers on my HVAC on both AC and furnace, he AGAN went ABOVE and BEYOND when he noticed I was doing my own plumbing project. We had hot water seeping out with our water main shut off on a fixture exchange, and he pointed out we can drain the hot water heater partially to stop this. The last plumber didn't eve care to share this, or even do it. I will not go ANY OTHER PLACE than Service Professor for my plumbing, HVAC and electrical needs. PERIOD. No one else compares!"

In anticipation of a basement waterproofing, I needed the water heater moved (the same Water heater Joe professionally replaced/installed for me a couple of years ago). Not only was he able to move it efficiently, he replaced some original piping and repaired some damage from an inadvertent leak that left mineral buildup at a connection(s) from our high quality Kalamazoo water (sarcasm noted). "Expensive $11.5K to put in a shower in place of a tub, done in one day. Asked for brushed nickel, but got chrome everything. Asked for 2 shelves but just got 1 which they say is standard. They came back next day with 2nd shelf insisting I did not order. I do not know how a family can get by with 1 little shelf for shampoos and soaps, or why one would be standard. They left wall unfinished and floor untrimmed. Minimal retrofit. It works. Plastic and chrome, but works for now. My other retrofit tub with 6 shelves cost $1750 installed labor + materials, 1/10th the price."

"The filtration system that we had was leaking.  In my own research I determined that it was a fairly rare system with very little information about maintenance or repair available on the internet.  Tom came out to look at the system and then did some research.  He determined that the flush valve in the system was broken and there were no repair parts - only a full replacement for $650.  He also offered a replacement of the system with a filter system that was more common/standard - installed for $450.  He was able to do the job the next day, completed the work quickly and at a cost less than his quote, and left us with an easier to maintain system that provided the same quality of water from the well and better water pressure throughout the house.  Overall it was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tom and Affordable Plumbing. <br />"

There is a large, old pipe which needs to be removed, and a former job which was poorly done that needs reworking. I am interested in getting this work done, and was told I would be provided with an estimate, but to date this has not been received (the only reason for my B rating in some areas)."
