We wanted to remove the tile, level the entire floor, and have hard wood flooring throughout the room. This was a challenge for the other contractors and flooring people who came out to give estimates. However, Mike of Mike’s flooring came out and immediately knew how to implement a plan of action. Mike’s team responded quickly and finished the job in a timely manner. They were pleasant and respectful, took care to limit the dust, and cleaned up after themselves. Mike also gave us great remodeling advice and provided us with great referrals for other trade experts. Most importantly, Mike charged a fair price, and he and his team did a WONDERFUL job. The new hard wood flooring looks GORGEOUS! Mike is a true expert in flooring, and I highly recommend him and his team."

"We have a rental property and the tenants dropped a hot iron on the carpet. It burned through the carpet in the shape of the iron head, so we needed to replace the spot. It seemed easier to do this one piece rather than replacing the carpet for the whole room. The day before the appointment, Exposition called to say that the installer (Jaime) might be late because he had an appointment in Highland Park before ours. He was due at 1, but they said he'd show up between 1-1:30 and would call beforehand. At 1:15pm the day of, I hadn't yet heard from him so I called the company and asked for an update, but they tried to call him and his phone was off. Finally, at 3pm I got a call and he was at the property, so I had to rush over and meet him then. That could have been handled better, but I made it there by 3:15 so it wasn't too bad. We were able to find a piece of carpet underneath a built-in closet in the master bedroom to use as the replacement piece, thanks to a suggestion by Jaime. It took him about 45 minutes to do the work, and it looks pretty good. It's a little bit off since the carpet from the bedroom wasn't as worn as what was already in the room, though. They only charged me the minimum service charge which was $125, since we provided the carpet and they just basically did labor and applied some glue."

"Similar to other reviews Luis went above and beyond to refinish my original hardwood floors. We bought our new house and were searching for someone to do the job. After sending a couple emails, and calling for basic quotes, we went on Angi and immediately after searching for professionals Luis called. He had seen we were searching and told me he would come over the same day to check the floors and give us a quote and that was it. He set up a time to choose our stain, and even grabbed some extra so we could match our Butcher Block counters to our hardwoods. Not only did he start on our floors earlier than expected, he did an amazing job with what looked like an absolute mess before he started. We’re crazy about our floors, and even noticed that before he was finished they had added an extra touch by cleaning our air vents while the grates were off.
