Small jobs welcome

"Kent did a great job with our basement remodel.. He was quick with his very reasonable quote and did an excellent job. He came up with a solution for our bathroom/closet addition that we hadnâ t thought about before. The project took longer than either of us expected, but it was worth the wait. Most of that was due to it being an old basement addition and things just being more difficult to work around than anticipated. I would most definitely hire him again."

"We hired Omni for a kitchen and bath remodel for an older 70s home. New cabinets, flooring and a wall demo turned a cramped, dated kitchen into a breath of fresh air. The work performed in our secondary bathroom also came out looking stellar. Very pleased with the results. There was a slight delay for the project due to certain material supply problems, but Omni was diligent in keeping us updated; good communication throughout. Would hire again."

"Doug is excellent to work with. He brought my vision for the fireplace/living room remodel to life through his expert carpentry and design consultation. Great communication throughout the life of the project and he kept an excellent eye on the budget, even suggesting some changes with materials and other items that would save money without impacting the look and quality."

"Excellent. Travis is professional, highly knowledgeable, prompt and efficient. I truly trust his advice and think his pricing is competitive (I got several bids for my new AC unit). When my AC was breaking down on a 95 degree day he was able to get to my house quickly which was much appreciated! He can resurrect the oldest of AC units! I HIGHLY recommend All Weather."

"Paul was very responsive and showed up at our agreed upon time. I explained the project which consisted of converting a covered screened in deck to a 3 season room. After going over the plans, Paul inspected the underside of the deck, support footings, rim joist and floor joist construction. After taking a lot of measurements and drawings, Paul sent me a report detailing the outcome of the analysis. <br />"

"Originally hired for kitchen remodel. Went so well, we hired for our bath and again for our family room remodels. They were always on time and cleaned up at the end of the day. The estimates were spot on for the total bill. Ran into unforeseen problems on the bathroom remodel, they worked the weekend to finish the project on date promised. Very pleased with quality of the work and would recommend to anyone for a remodel. Ask for Robert, he is very friendly and honest. Even my cat loved him."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Kansas City, MO

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
