"Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place. I was excited due to their high ratings but we had a bad experience. I called to make sure they could clean wood floors and at first they said they didn’t, but later said they could. They steam the wood floors exactly like the tile, which I asked if it’s appropriate to steam wood, as I thought you couldn’t - he insisted you could. After the cleaning, there were flakey clear parts of the finishing/sealant of the wood that had come up. I asked if that was something they could fix and he said they could come for another cleaning and reseal the floors once they get the sealant in stock. It was our only option they gave us (even though I believed that would make the flakes worse) so we agreed. This was back in November. We had called them multiple times over the next 2 months to see if they ever got the sealant in and if someone was going to come back out to fix the floors. They said they would relay the message and let us know, and we’ve been ghosted. The floors are still messed up and we paid the full amount for it. Very disappointed in their service."

"The wait for installation was long and when scheduled, they called to "reschedule" due to the installer. Apparently they use outside contractors to install. When they showed up, they worked hard but one installer left for over 2 hours, leaving on one to work. They did not want to quit and come back (found out they get paid by the job and couldn't pick up a new job until ours was finished. They left the house at 10:05 PM. The salesman put the wrong transitions in the order despite numerous conversations. They also installed the shoe molding around our kitchen island wrong. I went to store in Pearland the next day. My salesman had been transferred and I met with the District Manager. It took over a week to get anyone back out to fix and then they brought the wrong transitions again. I called the District Manager and complained. She told me they weren't there to fix the island until I asked her to check the paperwork and she admitted it was on the work order. After numerous phone calls, the installers went to Home Depot and came back with something that would work. They were nice and got it fixed. The carpet was scheduled later and when they showed up, they pulled the old pile carpet and told me that the defects in the staircase would show up if they installed the berber carpet. I asked why the salesman didn't discuss that with me. He said the salesmen don't install. They suggested I fix the staircase, repaint it and call them back. I got it fixed and called the store. The District Manager told me it would be 3 weeks before they could come back even though the installer said it would take less than 2 hours to install it. I have called back and asked to improve the installation. They said they send an email to installation but I am still waiting a week later. I am calling the COO in Houston tomorrow. The first 2 times I used Floors for Living, they were privately owned but have been purchased by another company. The entire process was much different and less congenial. I won't ever use them again and caution anyone thinking about it to check multiple review sources."

We replaced 2200 sq.ft hardwood floors, using their expert, detailed, hardworking team of installers, who were neat, clean, & friendly. They never pushed us to make a decision and were responsive to our questions and concerns. We can’t imagine going anywhere else, and they weren’t the cheapest quote we got! "Badley, I saw them advertising on a TV show called 'great day Houston', He said there is no surprise in our company. they were anything but surprise. BUT Get ready to pay more than they told you on the phone. plus my rug is still filthy. the young man who did the job was nice and polite and was doing what the owner told him to do which was to go over it only once!! he told me, ma'am, the water still looks dirty we need to take your rug to the factory to clean it and it will cost $550.00 I ask him to go over it one more time, and he said ''I can not do that''. ''it cost more money''. I did not want to get him in trouble so I paid him what I was told and asked him to leave. I gave them a zero for their survey, and they called me to fix it but again they were telling me to pay more to clean it. I will post the picture of the rug that was taken on June- 26 2021and another pic is 6-2-2023 after they suppose to be cleaned. to see how it was before and after. my rug already looks clean before they cleaned it. I'' give them Zero stars. Word of mouth is the best advertisement."
