"They did a good job and the owner drove all the way from Houston to present for the businesses. He came and measured the kitchen but did not have some sort of tool, so he had to run to a hardware store to pick up what he needed and come back. He went out of his way, I thought, to get the job. He was very nice and polite when he came out. He came out at my convenience, within my schedule; which was nice."

"We have no complaints with Sheppard's Countertops. We originally called to get basic information and the owner offered to stay open late on a Friday so we could come by to view the different granites and get a preliminary estimate. After getting estimates from a couple other places, we decided to go with Sheppard's. Sheppard's estimate was on par with the other estimates but we felt more comfortable dealing with a "Mom & Pop" type place as opposed to a big box store or more well known company. Our reasoning was that we felt we would get better service dealing with someone who's name is on the front door of the business instead of a national retailer. We were trying to have the granite counertops installed before we moved into our new home and Sheppard's really tried to work with us to get that accomplished. Unfortunately, because we came in and ordered at the last minute, they weren't able to get the countertops installed before we moved in. However, they were installed in the first week we were in our new home. The installers were very friendly and worked quickly. We were highly impressed with how perfectly the two pieces of granite were joined leaving only a faint line that you could barely see and couldn't even feel when you ran a finger over it. A different installer came out to install the backsplash. He was originally scheduled to come out the day after the granite was installed but that day we received a phone call from Sheppard's that he was on a job that was taking longer than expected and wouldn't be able to do the backsplash for another 2 days. We were a little disappointed that it was going to take longer than expected but the lady at Sheppard's assured us that he was their best guy and was well worth the wait. She also offered to send someone else over to do the backsplash but recommended waiting until the original guy was available because he did a really good job. We decided to wait and we were not disappointed. He really did a great job installing the backsplash and was very meticulous about making sure the edge pieces were cut to conform around the cabinets. We thought he did a fantastic job. We highly recommend Sheppard's Countertops and would use them again in the future without hesitation."

"My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured. Granite Gold also provides excellent professional support."

"<p>I originally got a bid from one of the "Home Improvement" stores, they came out and did a measurement and a couple of days later gave me a quote. Then, when they wanted to schedule the installation, the quote had gone up about 20%. When I inquired as to why I started getting "nickeled and dimed" for all kinds of charges. So, I canceled the deal.</p> <p> </p> <p>I then went to Ivey's, and couldn't be happier with the customer service, quality, and professionalism. From the time I went into the show room all of my questions were answered, and they actually came out and did the measurement on the same day as the initial contact. They then gave me a rock solid price, for better quality carpet and pad at a lower price than the "Home Improvement" store had quoted me. We scheduled installation for about a week later, and it all went great. The salesman even showed up to inspect the job a few hours after the installation just to insure the quality. All around, great experience, and I would recommend them to anyone.</p> <br />"

"I still have not completed the renovation one year later, so I should have gone with them or another contractor rather than my brother-in-law!  So I cannot report anything except their professionalism in the FREE planning sessions. That was quite impressive. <br />"

"My major complaint was how long it took, but in their defense, there seems to be a shortage of qualified technicians. I would have given them an A for the repair work which was fine except for one small slip up which he corrected. The price seemed steep for the time involved, but cheaper than new countertops. All in all, I would hire them again"
