Fortunately, Hoosier Refinishing had inserted a flyer in the Sunday Star and that is how I discovered them. Greg responded to my call the same day and, upon viewing my nine outdoor pieces, offered to do work on one of them...at NO charge...to be sure I was happy with the work before committing to the whole job. I was almost resigned to the idea of replacing all the teak with something else, thinking it could not be revived, so I could not be happier. And, Greg noted that their company also stores and cleans up patio furniture during the winter, so I plan to use that service every year going forward. "Chip, his wife, and their big dog were all extremely courteous and helpful from the start.  They were not pushy and did not try to "sell" us on anything.  We told them what we wanted and they helped us get there.  It seems simple enough but all of the other places we looked at charged for measurement estimates and even charged for the flooring sample to take home.  Big Dog does a free measuring estimate and gives you several samples to take home for free.  Chip, the owner, himself came out to measure the house.  My kids are young and followed him everywhere and he treated them like they were friends which was very nice.  After discussing what all we wanted done and a comfortable price we had workers at our house the following week.  We could have had them the next day.  The carpet was done in a few hours and looks fantastic.  The flooring took 2 full days and looks great.  I had to pull the refrigerator out to hook up the water line and even behind the fridge looks as good as the rest of the house.  They guarantee that they will undercut any estimate by 5% so there is no possible way that you could get a better deal.  I highly recommend Big Dog Flooring and we will be using them again in the future. <br />"

We looked in to basement waterproofing with a couple different companies but the scope of the work and the cost didn’t feel like the right solution. "Excellent, beyond expectations. This was the first time I had significant remodelling work done on my home. I selected a couple of contractors recommended by Angie’s List. I ended up selecting CMH Builders. From the first meeting with their estimator, Brendon, I had a good feeling. I had worked out my ideas prior to our meeting in my home and discussed them with Brandon. We went through the basement area pointing out my ideas and asking for his recommendations. He came up with great ideas and was well versed in the code requirements. I had developed a budget in my mind and if it could be done I would go with the project. Within two days I received the quote which was slightly below my target. I agreed to do the basement finishing project based upon the price, schedule, and review of past work shown on the CMH Builders website. Upon agreement I met at the CMH office to go over the details and made choices on the materials and colors. CMH at the time had a promotion for a full basement finishing job which offered a credit on the materials (carpet/flooring/paint/lighting, etc.) which I was able to apply to upgrades on these items. A project manager was assigned to my job who gave me daily plans and updates on the work. The project began with the wood studs delivered one day and the walls completely finished within two days. Electrical work was done in two days. Following this, drywall was delivered and the walls erected and finished, drying, and touchup in a week’s time. Painting, carpeting, flooring, and lighting followed. Code inspections were done at the appropriate times with no problems. The speed at which this work was done was amazing and impressive. I was totally impressed with the end result of the project when I saw it. The quality is excellent, the color choices I made with the help of the CHM designer turned out better than expected. The project was done on time just as planned and communication throughout the project was excellent. Those who have visited my home have commented on how nice the project turned out. I highly recommend CMH Builders as your choice for any basement finishing project. They will be my first choice for any more improvements I may make in the future."

"The owner (sorry forgot his name) showed up on time, measured the house and went over his bid with me.  He was very thorough told me exactly what was expected of me (move furniture) what the sanding process entailed and the final finish they apply.   I didn't proceed because there was so much else to do here and refinishing the floor would probably be one of the last things I do.   I still intend to update the bid from him, and take others, when it's time."
