"We bought the big deal from this company to have our shower, which is made of Travertine, and quot;deep cleaned.and quot; When the person came out to look at it, they said that a deep clean wouldn't be enough to remove the hard water build up in the shower. I clean the shower fairly regularly but, since it is a natural stone, you aren't supposed to use things like CLR to remove lime build up that the softener doesn't remove. So, he gave us a quote for an additional $500 to clean the shower. It felt like a total up-sell. I called Angie's List and they refunded our money. <br /> I am now wary of the Big Deal because it can be used for either a bait and switch or you feel like you are constanly being upsold. <br /> <br />"

"Initial appointment was for the estimate.  Cost was a little higher than we expected, but in the end - it was worth it.  We were able to schedule the work right away.  They had to re-set a few tiles.  Those had to cure a few days prior to grinding.  Actual grind and polish was scheduled for the next week.  Arrived on time and ready to go.   <br /> For the 120 SF entry way, they spent approx 5-6 hours on day 1.  This included prepping, grinding and polishing.  The transformation was amazing!!  They came back on day 2 to seal the tile, grout and caulk.  That took approx 3 hours. <br /> Excellent experience.  Great people to work with.  Very professional and helpful. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"On time, on budget, well below comparable quotes. They brought extra crew out to help with the island slab, which too six men to bring into the house and set. One section was cut short, fortunately they were able to obtain more granite from the same lot, cut a new piece and brought it out within less thana a week. Sealed and caulked all surfaces, cleaned up all debris, removed old counter and advised on how to care for the new top. Excellent work, crew was all very friendly and accomodating and worked hard. Clearly knew what they were doing. Cutouts were perfect. <br />"

"Bruce called me the morning after I contacted his company. He is the owner of the company. He arrived, punctually, that same day. I needed two corners of the space for a gas cooktop to be made larger so the new cooktop would fit into the space of the old cooktop. Bruce filed the two corners. He then sealed the corners and resealed the four sides of the cooktop space. He cleaned the work area and everything looked and fit perfectly! "They are a small family owned company. There were two of them that came. They offered us a good price. It is an expensive job. The other people that we checked with wanted $1,000.00 to do the work, then they were willing to come down to $700.00. I told them I wasn't going to use them, and then went with Superior Marble. This is a job that I am never going to have to have done again while I live here."

"We couldn't be happier with the new granite in our kitchen. Once again, they worked their magic and cut a large corner piece out of one slab of granite...NO seams!! We were able to go to their shop and choose exactly what portion of the granite slabs we wanted for the counter tops. They arrived on time to install the granite and the two men were very professional and friendly. We found everyone to be knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly."

"I had ordered special tile for our living room fireplace. I had worked with a tile install person over about 6 months. When the tile finally arrived - he stopped returning calls and emails. Kristina at Architectural Brick and Tile recommended Gunderman. I needed someone really good as this was not going to be an easy job and I had spent some money on hand made, hand fired tile. I checked them out on Angies List too and all reports were good. I talked with John Sr who came right out when I told him that the other guy had left me high and dry. He looked over the tile, talked with me at length and promptly emailed me an estimate. They started work on a Saturday 2 weeks later. <br /> LJ (John Jr) arrived right on time and went straight to work. He prepped the plaster wall where there had been some previous water damage. He had the tile installed by 3 pm on Sat. He returned on Sunday to clean up and make sure all the mantle tiles were adhering well to the wall. We chose the grout color - which was a special order. He returned on Friday and finished the grout work. He also made some repairs to the original hearth. <br /> We had one area that needs additional tile and we talked about what was needed to finish the job. That tile is on order and may take a few weeks to arrive. I have no doubt that he will be back and finish off the job. <br /> The fireplace looks FABULOUS. The price was a little high but I don't mind paying for skilled labor and prompt service. Again, this was a very specialized install and I knew that it could potentially cost more than normal to install. I am so happy with the work and how professional and prompt both John Sr and LJ have been! <br />"

The thing that impressed me the most is the detail of information of securing patio to sunroom foundation, drainage of water away from the home, and the process of creating the aggregate look/ staining. The patio and sidewalk was installed with the greatest of quality, professionalism, and great cleanup with a great price. 6 years later and the work done still looks new with no signs of cracking. I highly recommend their services without question!"
