"We were moving in to our home on the last Saturday in February.  We sent an email to Granitepro to schedule an estimate for the following Monday.  The existing kitchen had white cabinets with drab gray formica countertops and an island with no overhang, so it was useless as a place to site.  We wanted to change the counters to black granite and have an overhang on one edge of the island so that we could set bar stools there and make it a comfy place to eat, chit chat, whatever.  Dean (one of the owners) showed up on time and was very friendly.  He showed us samples of counter top edges and we discussed color options.  He explained the "typical" overhang amount for the island and explained how it would be installed.  We explained our budget to him and he did his best to work within that budget.  He explained that his pricing was "all inclusive" and included the granite with a choice of several finished edges, the installation, the back splashes, the sink (pre-mounted), the plumbing tie-in and removal/disposal of the old counter tops.  After looking on line at several sites that offer a "cheap" fee for granite installation, the tiny print typically states that the removal/disposal of old counters, plumbing hook-up and sink installation are 'add-on' items.  We very much liked that Dean's package was "all inclusive".  We were so happy with him that we cancelled our second estimate for later in the day.  Dean promptly sent over a quote and called to follow up.  When asked how long it would take before we could schedule install, he told us that we could have it installed the following Monday!  Dean came back out on Tuesday morning to take final measurements and while he and I were talking, he mentioned that he had slabs at his shop if we were interested in anything else, but he was NOT pushy or trying to sell us anything we didn't need.  He knew our budget.  We asked him to look at the Master Bath vanity as we were interested in going from a double to a single bowl counter.  He gave us a fantastic price on the installation (discounted by almost 50% as his crew and the plumber would already be on site).  He gave us the name/address of his local granite supplier so that we could go pick the granite for the kitchen.  We made the short trip to Frederick to pick our granite stone (that place was also GREAT to deal with).  We then went by Dean's shop to pick the slab for the Master Bath (he had several pieces and options that would work).  Monday morning, the crew showed up and replaced both the kitchen and the bathroom counter tops.  The plumber Dean works with is also fantastic.  He replaced the garbage disposal as ours was leaking and charged a minimal amount to do so.  He mounted the fixtures that WE purchased with no hassle.  None of that "this is not going to work, but I've got a different kind on the truck" or anything!!   <br /> We cannot express our pleasure enough in dealing with Dean, his workers and the plumber.  Our home was as clean when they left it as when they arrived.  You would have never known we had pretty major work performed.  It was all done in one day. I came home from work to a brand-new looking kitchen with faucets that worked and no longer leaked and a working garbage disposal!  The bathroom looks like it was completely remodeled!  Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Granitepro LLC.  Looking forward to entertaining in our "new" kitchen!! <br />"

"Very professional from the first meeting on.  They honored a lower price quote from a different company without hesitation.  On-time and courteous installers.  They went above and beyond by figuring out how to do our countertops with one slab of granite.  This saved us a ton of money as other companies told us we needed two slabs.  There was a small snag when the holes were not drilled large enough to accommodate for our RO faucet.  They were responsive and came back out quickly to remedy the problem.  We are very, very satisfied with In Home Stone and the work they did.  Would highly recommend, <br />"

"The owner answered the phone, looked up the job, and offered to order and install a replacement drawer and cabinet door AT NO CHARGE. I was amazed, fully prepared to shell out some dollars to replace the two pieces. The replacement was just complete a few moments ago, just a few weeks after I called. The kitchen cabinets are restored to their uniform whiteness. The courteous installer even had a small paint tube in his truck, and touched up some rub marks. As noted, I was very pleased with quality, price and installation the first time around, and hugely pleased this business valued my business enough to offer a free replacement and installation."

"I received estimates from three different companies, United Granite being one of the three. I was told to come to the warehouse to look at slabs for more approximate pricing. When my husband and I arrived, we were handed a clip board and paper and were directed to the showroom to look at slabs. We were instructed to write down the name and stone type, in order to get pricing. The process was very independent and no one walked through the showroom/warehouse with you to answer possible questions. We obtained about 4-5 quotes on different stones and were also told that a sink could be installed, but we would have to purchase a faucet separately, as they did not install faucets. In addition, we felt like random fees were tacked on for every little thing, down to even using a credit card - there was a fee for that!! We obtained quotes on almost identical, but more highly rated exotic stones from a competitor. The prices were significantly cheaper at the competitor, which was shocking. In addition, the prices included a higher quality stone, a sink and faucet and installation and removal of old counters/materials. Wanting to stay local, we went back to United and gave them the competitor quotes and indicated that the prices were for a more exotic level of stone, which appeared quite similar to one of the slabs United was offering, which we were interested in. I explained that the competitor offered to include a faucet as well, which had a Lifetime warranty. Suddenly, I was told United Granite could provide the same faucet and warranty. I was confused as to why this was not orignially provided in my quote or as an option. United offered to waive the credit card fee, but they explained they would have to get back to me in a day, regarding price matching the stone with the competitor. Also, since my mother used them for her entire kitchen remodel, for new counters, they said they would be more willing to work with us on price. The representative at United was well aware of the competitors level of competitive pricing and was quite nonchalant when telling me that they would be willing to lose me as a customer to this company, as they sometimes do lose customers to this company. My husband and I didn't like this business mentality and waited to get a response on whether they would match the price. We waited 2 days, when we were told it would take one day, and then decided to go with the competitor. Over a week later, United finally sent me an email saying they would not match the price and good luck with which ever company we choose. I'm glad we went with the competitor, as we had a better overall experience and the customer service was stellar and thorough. We received price quotes directly from the owner, who was a real pleasure to discuss questions and options with, during the intiial stages."

"Everything went perfectly. Al Cleaver came out, with a good knowledge of what color our existing floor is, and provided us several alternatives/choices that would match. We had seen three previous flooring stores, and somehow nothing seemed to work out. We put down our deposit, and arranged for the wood to be delivered and acclimated in our home prior to installation. Every appointment was kept, on time, and communication was excellent. They did a superior job installing and within the timeframe we were told. Any mess was kept to a minimum, and cleaned up. Highly recommend this company. I have recommended this company to my neighbor and realtor."

"It was a good experience. I had gone to Colonial Marble and Granite first and was extremely unhappy with the customer service there. So I decided to try Top Granite 2, since it was also very near where I lived. I went on a Saturday and Bao explained how their pricing works and then let me walk around looking at everything. I found a granite I liked and decided to purchase. Bao sent his employees to my house within two hours to do the template measuring. The men were 20-30 minutes late, which was the only negative through the experience, as they did not call to tell me they would be later than the agreed time. When I called to see what was up, Bao just said they needed to eat lunch. If that were the case then he shouldn't have told me to expect them for 12:30. Once they got there, however, it went fine and they did the measurements and left very quickly. A week or so later I had the counters installed. It took them awhile to install them, and one of the installers was outside on his phone for a really long time, leaving the other guy to work by himself. I don't know if that is why it took so long, or if this is just how long it usually takes to install granite counters, since I had never had them before. They did not have to remove any old counters or anything, as I had already done that. The counters were the correct measurements and they laid them levelly and very nicely. There was a seam needed, which they connected very well, you can't see it unless you look for it. I was not impressed with the quality of the caulking that they did where the counters met the wall, it was, in my opinion, a messy caulk job. But I am admittedly a perfectionist with that kind of thing, so I just went and redid it myself later. All in all I was happier with the customer service at Top Granite than I was with the other company in my area. I think the granite looks awesome and the measurements were all exactly right so it looks well installed. I found the communication to be lacking, as I did not think Bao really explained things clearly, however I did find him to be very accommodating of my needs. He really was flexible with changing the date of the install when I hit a snag that slowed me up on removing the old counters in time for the original install date. He also was able to fit me in on the next date I chose, which was pretty last minute choice on my part. So overall I was happy with the service. Top Granite is very much a "no frills" kind of company, but they got the job done and didn't give me the run around and the double talk and false promises on prices that the other company I went to gave me. I would use Top Granite again."

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured.
