The service person Julio was on time, polite, assessed and explained the problem to me, and presented repair options. My opener had a bad circuit board, so options were to replace the board or install a new opener. Julio priced a new opener and, after determining a new circuit board was available for my 20+ year old opener, priced that as well. After I chose a new circuit board, he explained that one of my openers would not work with the new board (fine with me). Then he installed the new board in 30 minutes or less. In addition to solving the circuit board problem, Julio answered a couple of questions I had about my current opener and also tightened and lubricated all the garage door hinges and the door tracks. (Neither of these tasks were related to the service issue but he did them anyway, unasked.) I initially called GGD because of their excellent reputation. Based on my experience, that reputation is entirely deserved."

However, it's been just over a year and the door does not fit because the bigger heavier posts that they said would support the weight of the door twisted and many other posts have twisted and separated. Slats of the fence are starting to separate as well. So all in all, the install was great but the guarantee of their work is unacceptable."

"<p>Overall, we couldn't be happier with High Performance Home LLC!  We worked with the owner, Larry, during the planning and contracting phase.  He was always available for questions and clarifications.  We knew exactly what to expect on the date of the work.  Larry is a true professional and was extremely easy to work with. When we asked for clarifications on the contract, he had a revised report to us in 24 hours. On the day of the work, two of his team members spent about half day doing the work.  Specifics of our job included replacing our attic access hatch, blowing R38 fiberglass insulation over existing insulation in our large attic, air sealing interior walls, rim joists, cantilievers, kneewalls, garage, weather stripping entry doors, exterior kitchen wall (where we were having huge thermal losses), and extended and improved some of our attic ventilation.  The work was all done efficiently and effectively.  They left the house immaculate.   We haven't seen our bills over time but can already tell that the house is better insulated as several of our "cold" rooms are no longer frigid!</p> <p>We chose this company based on its location, the strength of the Angie's lists reviews (which are deservedly stellar!), and great first, second and final impressions working with Larry and his team.  They all take great pride in customer service and doing right by the customer.  We would strongly recommend HPH to any one looking for a small local company that is experienced in insulation and weatherproofing and stands by its great reputation by doing what's right by their customers at a reasonable price.</p> <br />"
